Al-Araimi, CCC, Al-harthi all sell good mo9ar .. you need to know the types though to make the best choice.

I heard that CCC is the best place where you can find the best qualities of Mo9ars. I'm not sure about el7arthi or el3aremi but as I told CCC is really the best I guess ( never bought one though :p )

First you should know that if you are not experienced in buying mo9ar shawls they will definitely try to rip you off no matter where you go. I buy mine from a shop in Sabco upstairs called Rana Abdulraheem Trading. That guy has some really good things. He'll probably tell you the price that's very high and you'll have to bargain to bring it about half what he says. Ya3ni the ones that are 80 you can buy for 45.

Don't believe anyone who says any mussar is shahtoosh. That's bogus, not to mention illegal. Look for full 6urma, but lots of shops cheat and sell nylon blends or even machine made mussars.

The shop in CCC next to the cassette shop is also good. I don't know any good shops in Al Araimi.

posh top quality expensive and great or beautiful should not necessarily go together.. you could find a really nice looking or beautiful m9ar (turban) without having to pay so much for it... depends mainly on the materials used in making the garment...

You could end up paying literally hundreds of rials for a good m9ar.. so basically it depends on your spending budget and as Muscati mentioned you'd have to have some kind of idea of what you're after :)

Mi9ar or 3omama are the arabic names for the turban which is a part of the national Omani male dresscode :)

You know.. the big colourful piece of cloth, with intricate filgreed designs on it that the Omani's wrap around their heads :D
