I am have been using this phone for about a year now. I need to know how to transfer songs to it. I know I could use bluetooth but is is another way od doing it?

And a friend of mine just bought the phone recently, she asked me to download some songs from my laptop to her phone. Her memory card is 32 MB but when ever I try to download songs to it I get a message saying there is not enough memory although there is about 27 MB free space.

Way of downloading songs or any other files to the fone is done by 1 of following:
1. Bluetooth.
2. Infrared.
3. USB.
4. Memory Cable, something U insert the MC in then attach it to the PC/LapTop.

If U dont have those, U can simply go to a fone shop & they'd do it 4U.

Maybe her default memory is phone memory not memory card, that's Y she's getting such message.

I use bluetooth to download the files.. never tired infrared before.

As for USB and memory cable I don't have them. So maybe I need to get them from the shop.

I will check my friends phone again and see waht is she using as her default memory. But where can we check for that.. There are a lot of things I don't know about my phone I can see lol :p

Im using it too, and TH summed it up well.

For using infrared, activate the infrared profile on ur mobile and connect it to another activated infrared port. Should work like a peach.

The problem is simple! You should leave a space in the Phone Memory to recieve that file 1st then you can save it in the Memory Card.

However you do have space in the Memory Card. But, the phone has a lower space to save that file, so it wont accept it, because the phone has to recieve that file 1st as I said earlier.

yeah I guess that is it.. the phone memory is full. Ok will try to free some space and download..

ok now I was trying something else.. I need to activate my e-mail option.. how can I do that? and do I need to have an omantel e-mail account for that?

I do have mms and GPRS.. although I did try to log ot hotmail today but some how it gave me a blank page.

What is a wallet? and what does a wallet code do? And why does it ask me to enter my hotmail add and password everytime I want to view an e-mail.. or even the next page of an e-mail..

Blood Rose, the internet on Nokia 6230 is based on WAP, & not WEB. So Hotmail.com should have a WAP page. Myself I am not sure of this, since I never tried accessing my Hotmail accounts using the WAP.


If you are using OmanMobile sim card, so there is a way of setting your Omantel account in your phone.


Myself I am not sure of the wallet thing, to be honest I dont care that much about the extra features comes in these phones.

NF, I do have omanmobile sim card and I do have GPRS connection. I logged to hotmail and it worked. But what I want is to be able to send and recieve e-mails.

I guess I will just to to MHD and ask them about this.. Thanks :)
