I randomally found this album on Amazon.com and I was wondering if anybody here has heard anything about it, I tried finding any links or samples to the songs online, but I couldn't! The singer's name is Me'shell Ndegeocello. The tracklist has some names of the Quran sura's... :eh:

I don't think so, she is a RnB/Jazzz singer I think, and her record label ... *Nabhan get ready for this one...*... is MAVERICK. Check out her website here, http://www.meshell.com/ No info on this new album though.

are you sure its the same artist? they seem to be 2 different artists , I am sure if it was the same one then there would be some news on the official site about it.

If you go to the Amazon page I linked to there, and click on the name of the artist below the album title, it'll take you to all the other albums made sang by that artist which are all included in her webpage...

Her webpage has not been updated for more than a year I think, cause the other album that is in the center of that page was released in 2003...

OK, I will make up a story, this woman converted to Islam, dropped out of Mavrick, went to Africa and recorded her first Islamic album last March, it was not released in the US, and that's why it is an import, and because nobody bought it, we cannot even download it from anywhere.. lol

well there have been many times where i clicked on the artist's name and it took me to albums by another artist with a similar name.. so that's why i asked if u're sure. it somehow doesnt click that she's the one behind that islamic album.

I actually found that website during my search, it is the same singer as in the Maverick website..... MY STORY COULD BE ACTUALLY REAL! :color:
