Now with the grawing use of the internet and its applications it is becomming more vital to have well qualified muslims who know how to deal with the net in the (other) direction. Many do know that each country has its own army which keeps it safe from outer threats. Now it is most obvious that in the same way we should think of the other army which is (Programmers). They can do a very deffensive job and also attacking in case we are supposed to do that.

Now from the Islamic point of view is it coorect to have Muslim hackers who's their job is to hack the "others" the same as they hack us? Is it Islamically correct or not?

I guess its Halal in the sunni sect because few of the Sunnis hacked these two omani sites.

Actually the people who did the hacking were "Islamic Scholars" or that what they say. Anyway, its not strange. Expect the unexpected with "Those Scholars" if you know what I mean. :D

Salam,

I am not sure what islam says about hacking. I can say my opinion. It depends on the purpose of hacking. If hacking for the fun of it, then I guess this is wrong. If hacking to spy on non-muslim enemies for our own protection then this should be allowed. To hack & spy on our muslim brothers & sisters I guess it should not be allowed according to the verse in Qur'an.

"قال تعالى:" ولا تجسسوا، ولا يغتب بعضكم بعضاً
صدق الله العظيم

Muslims shouldn't create hatred between eachother. Therefore, anything that can lead to hate & harm between muslims islam is against it & strongly forbids it.

Salam..
