View Full Version : My Eyes .. My Eyes!!!
Arabian Princess 07-03-05, 08:19 PM Ok, guys I need your help if possible ..
I recently formatted my comp.. the formatting was successful but then, the shop installed a different version of windows (I think, my diagnosis) .. I only have 16 colors (and 2 colors) in my settings ..
My eyes hurt .. everything looks blurred!! is there anyway I could fix this at home?
If you are using illegal software, then it's your own fault for thieving.
If you're innocent, re-install it or go to the help site. :p
Arabian Princess 07-03-05, 08:50 PM loool mimosa ..
I have no idea what they used .. I sent it to a shop!!

NiGhTFaCe 07-03-05, 11:15 PM It might be problem with the VGA driver, mybe its not installed!
CrazyReD 07-03-05, 11:53 PM yeah i think it's because of the driver go back to them and let them fix it
Princess: Do you have a serial number sticker for your version of Windows for you to register it with? If not, they've just given you a stolen copy.
DeSerTDesTroYeR 08-03-05, 01:18 AM its definitely the drivers... didnt they provide you with the drivers of your hardware? Or do you have a CD with drivers on them?
Arabian Princess 08-03-05, 08:07 AM my comp is 6 years old, so maybe they didnt have the driver too??
so there is not way to fix it except if I send it back to them?
DeSerTDesTroYeR 08-03-05, 08:36 AM there is,
Which windows is on it now?
You can try to find out whats your video card called and then download the approperiate driver for it. And save yourself from the trouble of taking it to them and even paying for that.
go to
1- my computer (right click then choose properties)
2- click on the tab hardware (click there on device manager)
there most probably you will see something with a yellow marked question mark, that is the hardware which isnt being recognized by your system.
if your pc is 6 years old then most likely you have win98 on it. So if you have the cd insert and right click on that yellow marked device and choose properties then update driver (or could be called something similiar)
there select the update from cd-rom and MAYBE it will identify your hardware.
Another way is to open the cover of the pc, read the name of your video card and look it up on the net. Or even post the name here and we can find it for you...
DeSerTDesTroYeR 08-03-05, 08:51 AM try this link: http://drivers.soft32.com/driver/download-My_Drivers-9326.html
it gives you a link to download a program that might find the properiate driver for you.
CrazyReD 08-03-05, 08:57 AM i dont think a pirated version of windows is the prob
The pirated version isn't causing the problem, but it's why there's no support.
Gunther 08-03-05, 11:29 AM there is always support for all windows products. AP, go with what DD said because that is the right solution.
Arabian Princess 08-03-05, 12:39 PM ok will try it out once am at home inshallah :)
thanx guys and will updated you .. pray that the colors to my comp life comes back to him!
Arabian Princess 08-03-05, 04:25 PM ok I guess the only soloution is to open the comp cover and check whats the brand of the video card .. but here is the issue, where do I find the video card? :os
DeSerTDesTroYeR 08-03-05, 09:15 PM the video card is the one the monitor cable is connected to :D
Arabian Princess 08-03-05, 11:56 PM ok, I used my brain and I managed to solve the issue ..

Don Khaled 09-03-05, 11:56 AM Arab Princess, you could have went to start botton, and chose run. Then typed [/b]dxdiag[/b]. From there, choose the "Display" tag, and see if the video card company is being mentioned.
Gunther 11-03-05, 11:14 AM ah yes i had forgotten about that little page. thanks for reminding me don khaled :)
