Christina Aguilera gets engaged

LOS ANGELES - Christina Aguilera (news) may be getting what a girl wants. The Grammy-winning singer is engaged to her boyfriend of two years, music executive Jordan Bratman, Aguilera's representative, Meghan Prophet, told The Associated Press on Saturday night.

Bratman, 26, proposed to the 23-year-old pop diva on Friday night while the two were vacationing at an undisclosed location, Prophet said.

"No wedding plans have been set yet," she said.

Bratman presented Aguilera with a diamond ring designed by jeweler Stephen Webster, she said.

The engagement initially was confirmed to the magazines People and US Weekly.

Aguilera, whose hits include "What a Girl Wants" and "Genie in a Bottle," won a Grammy as best new artist in 2000, another in 2002 for best pop collaboration with vocals for her cover of "Lady Marmalade" with Lil' Kim, Maya and Pink, and a third award last year for female pop vocal performance on "Beautiful."

I could care less about celebrities personal life. Its time she got back into the studio and released an english album. her last album stripped was released in 2002!! its been almost 3 years since we heard something new from her ( besides the crappy duets she came up with recently).

More info about the proposal:

- The ring, was actually designed by her boyfriend, but made by that webster guy
- He caught her totally offguard because she thought it was just for valentine's day
- According to an article I read, Jordan has recreated a dinner they had before in India when they were there...a six-course, candle-light dinner.
- When she returned back, she found her room full with red and pink balloons
- Then he sent her to a little hunt thingie, with each clue written as a poem, and in the final clue, he proposed :D

Sounds so cute. But I'm worried about their children though, Jordan is kinda ugly...:s
