Many Muslims nowadays don’t really measure their deeds and just they feel satisfied for looking like a Muslim (from the outside) and just giving it the most attention, and forget that they are not gaining lots of points or even loosing lots of them by looking from the outside religiously good while at the same time, keeping a worse attitude, and behavior. If Allah is telling us to calculate our deeds, and to see how much we gained and how much we lost, then why do we ignore this fact and think that we can live safely without doing it? Just think of what I mentioned here and see does it make sense to lose 1000 points by cheating people, and gaining 20 by having a beard?
From experience in this life, I would say that a beard would never help or push you to be a good Muslims, but being a good Muslims, may push you to have a beard. What is happening these days is that when we have a good Muslim scholar like “Amro Khalid” , “Hidayat” who are not having a beard, people start calling and asking him why don’t you grow a beard? As if the official way to enter the field of Islami is to have a beard! .We never read that the followers of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), did ask people when they join Islam to grew beard which means to look like Muslims, but to “First” feel like a Muslim, then what ever good to the looks will come as a natural flow of events.
Isn't it?
