For example what is the difference between Jazz, pop, Rock'n Roll?

Jazz has a swing to it and it uses instruments like saxophone, trumpet and drums. Pop is just singers with some sort of tencho music in the background - normally for dancing to. Rock is the best type, it uses guitars, bass guitar and drums and has a steady beat.

Rock: The Dire Straights (They're best song is Sultans of Swing) and then heavier rock like AC/DC
