I LOVE THIS MOVIE.

I used to watch it everyday before I sleep.
I just wanted to share some pictures of it with you..

brief story:

"When the prince of the Emishi, Ashitaka, was cursed by the demon boar, Nago, he was forced to cut his hair and leave his village forever. The wise woman of the village told him that he curse would infect his whole body, bone and flesh alike, and then kill him.
He began his journey by following the demon's trail, however, the trail disappeared and he was left with no leads. His journey took him to the outskirts of a village that was being attacked. He managed to "disarm" one man, and I mean literally.
Ashitaka come across a very mysterious monk, by the name of Jigo, who tells him that he should go to irontown if he wants to find out the truth.
And so, our hero travels through the forest toward irontown. It is here, deep in the forest at the edge of the river, where he meets San, otherwise known as Princess Mononoke. He saves two men and brings them safely to irontown where he is welcomed with kind generosity. The leader of irontown, Lady Eboshi, eventually reveals that she is trying to destroy the forest in order to get to the precious ore underneath the surface.
Ashitaka sets off to discover the truth and finds more than he could ever imaging...."

I watched it guess one year & something back. The story was kinda complicated for me. But, I enjoyed it.

I watched Princess Mononoke as well, it is translated as "Princes of the Wolves" I think. I enjoyed it very much.

Who translated the title that way? The Japanese title is Mononoke Hime, which is simply Princess Mononoke in English.

The title IS Princess Mononoke, but it means The princess of the wolves. :P

I saw this one when it first came out on DVD 3 or 4 years ago. I liked it but it wasn't a movie I could give to others who aren't into anime. But when Spirited Away came out 2 years ago it blew me away. It was a true masterpiece, and it was totally accessible to any animation fan.

A similar movie to Spirited Away will come out soon .. please check the other thread " Howl's Moving Castle " ..
