This is hilirious! I've seen Ah my Goddess and there isnt even an old man! Nor any naked people for sure. Is he confused with some american pornographic movies (as in local)?

Same goes with love hina... anyway... what is more amusing that he is trying to make a petition on anime, while they already have a huge pornographic of many categories produced over there. And not forgetting all the movies / tv series / programs ...etc... with such similiar means to what he claims.

Yeah, a lot of it is mad stuff. A lot of it does promote sex and, well, maybe not promote violence, but it certainly endorses it. Obviously not all anime, but yeah if we were to look at it from that perspective, thats true. The only problem is, that most of what comes out of Hollywood is fits those categories as well. So what to do :os

Anime is not translated at Cartoon for Kids, it is a form of entertainment, just like movies, music, and TV. It is not directed to a single category and does not carry the same message. Anime can be about any topic, and can have ANYTHING. There is anime that is directed to children, another to school boys, another one to teenagers, to families, there is anime about terrorism, about magic, about God, of course there is also anime porn and it is called Hentai, and there is even homosexual anime, and it is called Yaoi. Anime is just like "Cinema", you cannot label it as pornographic, violent, religious, or childish, each different movie has its own theme, would be suitable for a different category, and obviously would be different from the other ones. It is stupid to call Anime pornographic, cause that would be just like calling the Cinema pornographic. Simply don't go to the wrong show, and you would be alright.

Nabs, if ther person who wrote that was really concerned about his country and is strict he would have talked about their movies.. I mean why only Anime?

I am not saying that Anime doesn't promote sex and other things but even thier movies and series does that.. and Anime is not for kids its for grown ups... they should start for the roots which are the things they have in USA not go on attack Japan and Anime like that..

No, there are different forms of anime. The ones that target kids are the likes of Pokemon, but not all anime are like that. Some have very mature topics (Neon Genesis Evangelion). Kids won't be able to sit 5 minutes of it listening to psycho babble.

But seriously, the best thing is to ignore the site. Making a thread about the site in anime boards would only make him think he's getting the attention he never deserved, and would flatter him. just to correct you Anime was not targeted for kids only. There are many types of Anime and some are for Adults..

And anime is Japanese Animation Art and its considered part of the Japanese culture..

Yes, it does. Let me put it this way: there are anime specifically for kids, and there are anime for teens, for adults, etc. It's just a matter of who you want to show it to. Unfortunately for those outside Japan, most equate anime as kids' cartoons. It's not that simple, though. The medium just happens to be animation; it doesn't necessarily imply that it should be for kids.

Yes, there are adults who would prefer watching anime than live action.

I do not understand what ti3gib means by the term 'Adults'. But Blood Rose, Bloom, DeDe, Crazy Red, myself, and Millardo (if the profile is correct) are all over 20 years old.

The problem is no one understand Anime :( sad but true..
