.. the islamic law says that the male inherits the double of what the female inherits of thier father *in that case for example* ..

.. but what if the person was not a male nor a female..emm say; unmanly or womanish.. what is the portion this person will get and on what basis is this decision given??

Since Allah created Male & Female only. It will be based on that only.
If a human committed a big sin & changed his real nature, then I believe he/she doesnt mind to commit a smaller sin & inherit according to what they want.

toomuchat, what I know that in these syndrom, a person would learn more into one gender.. so I would think that it would follow the rule of the gender its learning more to.

i guess we are not talking about male who changed to female bu surgery..
there is a disease by which a male is born with female genetalia..but he is male inside... at puberty he start developing secondary male charactristics ( beard, voice etc..) ...

in any of these cases, the individual is male regardless his sex change surgery or his genetelia....

humans are not hermaphrodites? well human beings do give birth to hermaphrodites, therefore they must be humans, and should be given every right that other humans are born with ... eventually though, the person will start to feel an inclination towards one gender. i watched a program yesterday on tv about a lebanese family who had a hermaphrodite, they named him/her amal, because s/he looked like a girl at first but the more s/he grew, the broader his/her shoulders, the hairier s/he got, and also amal didnt want to play with the girls at school, but football and stuff with the guys, amal's voice got deeper, and so they took her/him to the doctor, who said that amal was actually a boy! so he underwent a sex change and changed his name to hussein...

yes, malak, some people are born with both male and female reproductive organs. they're called hermaphrodites... and they mustn't be confused with transgender people, who perform surgery to change their sex, because these people choose to change themselves, but people like Hussein (who used to be called Amal), did not choose to be both male and female at birth...

what i want to know is, if there are any doctors or science-y people :D reading this, what is responsible for them having both sex's physical traits? I mean, a girls chromosomes are XX and a guys are XY (as far as i remember :p) - then what chromosome does a hermaphrodite get to become like this?
