Hi guys..am thinking to buy a new car..oww..but what to advise?

K..not a family car...could be sport or just normal salon car..or 4wd. car...

budget: max RO 8,500.

Specifications:
Min: 2.5 L power. Prefers 6 cylenders!
Auto transmission.
Leather seats and CD changer.
Safety is a concern too.

I prefer the Japanese for their ease of maintenance, less complicated than the europeans or americans...

What about the new ALTIMA 3.5 ??

ThankS u Guys & Guysat

There is a new car which is manifactured with VW technology but because its made in chech its cheaper.

Its called scoda - superb which is equivilient to Passat in VW which is for 8,500 ..

passat now is 10,000

you said you prefer japaneese, am not a big fan of japaneese cars so not much of a help.

Salam,

I don't fancy japanese car that much. I mean in that range I wouldn't advise you for any japanese car, but I would tell you to go for Volks Wagon Golf the new model. Next month, Golf are going to release a 2.5 engine, I can't remember how many horse power it is, but it is powerful & something more than 215hp. It's a 4 cylinder car. It's very stable on the road & it's good for shabab like you.

Go for a test-drive & hopefully you will be convinced.

All the best..

ReVeLuTiOnAl, if you are looking for a good Japanese car with that budget, so then go for the Honda Accord.
Its 2.4L, 4 cylinders, with 17 inch wheels, sunroof, leathered seats + CD changer.

Good performace really! Myself I enjoy driving it, my family got one.

A-P:

The SCODA car isnt as comfortable as others..i tried it once.. it's just a normal car...no special features..no cd..or leather seats.. and small from inside.. it's too expensive for such a car..

PHAhadde...I dont like the VW cars...i dont know really!! i hear alot they cause some technical problems after 2-3 years..

P-T, N-F: I've considered Honda accord..but i dont fancy the shape..!! looks horrible..!!! sorry but just how i see it,,, also.. small from inside..plus honda accord no. is RO 10K?..

The new ALTIMA with similar features compared to accord, Camry is about 2 thousands less... and it looks cute, sporty look...looks big from inside and outside...?/..

Help...big decision to make soon..

hi bro Reve.
i was in a situation like urs.. I bought Peugeot 307 … and later I bought jeep Cherokee.

Driving wise and usage.. I advice you for Jeep. It has many applications and fantastic in driving specially offroad.

Regarding petrol consumption, unlike other 4wd cars Jeep does not consume that much petrol.
People will tell u that Jeep always have a problem in double shaft and in differential axil. I do agree, but that was in the past. The new models are much better….
Go for jeep Cherokee not the Grand.. the grand Cherokee has problems.. Believe me don’t Judge on jeep until you drive it…it has a special taste

Other choice, is Honda accord , BMW, Benz and Legacy if you want a car which can survive… it is all depend on ur budget

That's true. I would suggest getting the old 92-95 Civic model. Nice design, plus you can use the extra money to buy surplus engines and parts as well as performance parts. Easily you can get into the 200+ hp range. Or if you want real power, Mistsubishi Lancer Evo VII. Can you say 281 hp? AWD as well.

Well, if you're looking for a sports car, you don't need to have one exactly new. Knowing which parts to get will give you the same or even greater power than new cars. The fun part there really is building the car from stock to a modified one.
