Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "Whoever did not observe fast for one day of Ramadan for no legal excuse or on account of a disease can never make it up later."

Abu Hurairah said: "Even if he fasts for a whole year, he will still not have made up for that day."

the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If anyone breaks his fast one day in Ramadan without a concession granted to him by Allah, a perpetual fast will not atone for it." "Whoever breaks his or her fast for one day of Ramadan deliberately without any legal concession, then even if he observed fast for life, it would not compensate for that day."

~ Have you ever missed a day of Ramadan for no reason?

~ Do you think that, this punishment (never being able to make it up) is fair? Sometimes people make mistakes, and Allah SWT is al-rahman, al-raheem... how does that fit?

I need to look up above Hadiths if there are available in Musnad Al-Rabi3 ibn 7abib "الجامع الصحيح".

Because Allah say in the Quran:

It may not be redeemable, but won't the person be forgiven for it if he or she truly regrets it and begs for forgiveness, with no intention ever to do it again?

I guess he'd be FORGIVEN but could never make it up.

Does that make sense?

Does that make sense?
Yes cause, at least for me, it would be the greatest punishment not to have the chance to repair to my own fault towards Allah, even if He forgives me.

it is definatly forgiven if Allah wanted that, otherwise why do you have kafara of fasting two consecutive months.
the point of the hadith that the reward that you get out of fast one day in ramdhan .. cant be compensated even if u fasted the whole year.

Alhamdulilah, I started fasting from a very young age .. so missing a day wasnt something that I will ever think of ..

This the fatwa by our mufti about who eat without a reason in Ramadhan, pay back and kaffara required.
