first question.. a friend of mine recently (abt 3 months ago) gave birth to twins wal7amdilla they arrived to be 2 healthy boys! right now she's breastfeeding and will be doing so for quite a while.. she was paying her days of fasting b4 ramadhan came, and she noticed that her milk was less.. as it is her milk isnt enough for 2 boys WITHOUT fasting.. so if she were to fast in ramadhan her milk would be even less than usual, and she would definitely be feeling weak as breastfeeding drains alot of energy. so my question is hal yajooz (is it okay) in islam for her to NOT fast? or will she have to fast in ramadhan? whats preffered? and if she was NOT to fast.. she plans to breastfeed until they are at least a yr old.. so how will she pay back her days?

Its perfectly fine for her to skip fasting while she's breastfeeding; as she knows there will be less milk (plus she's got twins!). She can just make it up whenever she can and the babies aren't affected.

i learned at school that a mother who is pregnant or breastfeeding shouldnt fast as it could harm the babies health for that exact reason - so she can skip the fasting i guess.
