whats appropriate to do?

many times we found verses of Quran written in newspaper, Magazines...etc. and i was taught from a young age, to cut the bit that contain the verses and keep them. now ppl have different ways of dealing with it, some burn, some bury and some soak them in water until the letters disappear. i was just wondering what is the appropriate action in this case?

Chredder then I guess .. we do that at home .. I know that the most appropriate one is to either burn them or throw them in the sea.

but is it ok to burn verses of Quran? and i would prefer if someone could post a fatwa or something to validate their point.

to be honest i hate it when they write quran verses on such a disposable material. anyways.. i think that it gets thrown in the trash mostly so may god forgive us.

I usually cut them out, keep them in a bag and when the bag gets too full. I tell my parents it's time for a BBQ. So we have a BBQ and to light up the fire, we use them!
