This new installement follows where the previous mortal kombat DA left off and it explains what happened with the Deadly Alliance the game is schduled to be realesed in the US on oct 4th. So far it looks really intresting and sweet with 24 character, 12 playable at the start and another unlockable 12 + some super secret characters. The game isn't only about fighting it also has a chess combat where it's similar to chess and archon the player basically has to kill the king just like in chess but to occupy or defeat an enemy you actualy have to fight him/her, there's also the use of magic involved, another mode is the puzzle kombat which is similar to street fighter puzzle game, except with a mortal kombat twist where each character has a speical move and a speical fatality, one other mode is the Konquest where you take a character and roam around the MK universe in which each character from the MK history makes an appearance(sorta like an rpg) and finally there's the online feature where you can go online and fight other gamers ;)
