Hi, I'm trying to find out how to change profiles through code instead of manually doing it. If anyone has worked with speech recognition sofware and code, please contact me asap. Thanks in advance.

I'm currently using SpeechStudio but am thinking of switching to Microsoft Sapi. Any suggestions?

well, am still not clear about what you meant by code. But here is something I found related to changing profiles or creating them.

Hope its somehow related to what your seeking. If not then let us know. :)

Thanks, am still looking for something else though. Also, would you happen to know if phrase extraction would be a good thing to use with this product?

Nope!

But reading about what I 'think' you want to do, first things first, download:

http://www.microsoft.com/speech/download/sdk51/

In the documentation and the associated you'll most likely find ALL your answers.

Question, do you want the profiles to be associated with user accounts? Or something else? ie How/why do you propose to change profiles.

Good luck regardless.

I've got Microsoft Sapi 5.1 as well as SpeechStudio Suite but the project that I am currently working on requires interaction from several users.

Although it's proved to be effective with training from just one person, I am hoping to improve it by adding multiple profiles that can be changed through my own code. By this, I mean when a user steps up to the computer and speaks, the speech application should recognize if it's a male or female and choose the profile accordingly. :lost:

I hope that this makes my question a little more understandable. Let me know if you've worked with SpeechStudio, or if you could recommend any other speech software. Thank you in advance.

I've looked around for what you are trying to achieve in commercial form:

Have you tried using a package like that? Straight off the shelf?
