They could be working upto 6:00 pm. Not more than that for their own security. But other than that I dont see if there will be any problem.

I dont think if I would mind if I would be a taxi driver.. considering all those times I have failed in getting my driving license,

i use to think its safer to ride with a feamle driver, but now i don't anymore. can you be sure 100% that she won't take you to a remote area and kill you or rape you?

This will be good for the female passenger as engy said, but the number of guys who will leave their cars beside the street or at home & use the taxies for transporting will increase:D

Ladies already drive other ones…see the training cars for getting the license …in the same way they can do taxi .. Yes they should be restricted to female passenger…

of course females can work as taxi drivers...same as men...

if a lovely lady can give me swimming classes...why cant she drive a taxi?!!

All women taxi drivers will be fully trained incase for such things happens.. they wont need any help from outsiders.

I personally dont think its a good idea at all. Hard work , requires them to be out of the house almost the whole day , which means barely any time for her family , and for safety reasons as well.

If its for female passengers only then maybe it would be fine.. but lets face it.. they would barely get any business then..and so it wont be really worth it.

I think it would be a good business to start here, as a lot of women, both local and expatriate, are nervous about taxis. I know at least two women (both Asian) who have been sexually assaulted by taxi drivers. Good business idea for someone to start, on the simple principle that there's definitely a market for it, so why not fill the gap?

LOL. You've got to be kidding. My whole point in taking a taxi is getting from point A to point B. I don't care who gets me there. I'm more irritated when I have to repeat 3 times because the driver speaks very little english, and yes, I speak clearly without a thick scots accent.

Of course they're allowed to.. but staying for way too long hours away from the house isnt really good for the family. after all the children need their mother.. and the husband needs his wife.

And the children need the father and the wife needs her husband. So, his hours should be shorter as well.

Unfortunately, my job used to take me away from home for months on end. It's called sacrifice. And now that I'm home again, if my wife decides to work more hours then she already does, I support her in it.

Of course its for safety reasons. While there are always risks, the risks are also there with male drivers. So its not like you are increasing the risk. Quite the contrary, you would most likely be decreasing them (except we would have more women drivers on the road ;) ). Too many of my female friends, in fact all of them, are too scared to take a taxi by themselves. And with good reason.

Only for female passengers because...well come on. This one hardly needs debate. The fact that its a muslim country and racial mingling itself is in question in the minds of most.

I've been deployed for 14 months. I was awake for 72 hours, between transport back home, medical check ups after I got home. My wife drives back home.

I go to bed, after 72 hours of being awake, 14 months of being in a combat zone, I feel like I can actually sleep, and my wife wants sex.

So, I want to sleep, she wants sex. Guess who wins? A few hours later, I get to sleep. And I slept for a day and a half straight through. No waking up at all.

Not wanting to have sex, and being forced to? Technically rape. Did I feel raped? Not in the least, actually glad we did.

Your job is different than a taxi driver because you are getting a monthly salary, but the taxi driver needs to work around the clock as it all depends on the passengers.

Yes you will still get hit on but it's much less compared to a woman who dress openly and showing their outer beauty to strangers. Men like to sense the reaction from women they see and if the woman respect herself and don't care about them then they won't proceed with other flirting actions.
