Yes of course, thats actually the easier way around.

Lets say you have a DVD Player (it will run Cds also), and you hook it up with the TV IN

Then you hook up a video (VHS) player ( 99% of them record), and connect it to the TV OUT

and of course... play the dvd/cd and it would show on the tv... and while doing that start the recording.

That should do the trick. Another way is direct connection, am not too sure if that would work but its very possible..

OUT from Dvd player and IN video (VHS) player.

Hope this explains what you are asking for.

Thanks DD :)

Well, I don't have a seperate DVD player, so will that work if I connect my Computer ( it has a DVD reader).

how will the video in this case record the video file. is it going to show the screen of windows ( I guess that would be a good tool for recording lessons on how to use the computer - nice idea :) )

actually some one told me that u have to have a special cable and card [Firwire] which has a pin suitable to be inserted in the video in in the VSH. plus the transfer rate will be faster if u use this cable..

E-Creativity: in that case, what type of Video card do you have. If you have a Video-Out, then it will act once connected the TV as a dvd player and the above would apply.

Yes, Fahad, thats another way to do it for direct connections, though most people wouldnt have that cable. Cause they dont require to do such recording much. But if required then its quite a good idea.
