It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path.

good luck everybody.

The point she's trying to make is that if Allah has decreed something halal or haram, there's no two ways about it. So if alcohol is prohibited we shouldn't be going around saying things like 'but I don't think it's haram'. If it's clear-cut and you wanna follow it go right ahead. If you don't wanna follow it then just zip it and don't go around preaching nonsense. It's something you'll be held accountable for on judgement day.

We all know whats halal and whats haram ( well most of us should , being muslims and all) if anyone says "but" then thats only cause he/she isnt sure about it..cause there is not clean, clear evidence of it. like the whole music is haram thing. or drawing people is haram.

Actually I don't see how the rules can get any clearer. When there are 2 or more interpretations and each one is just as convincing, there's another rule we're supposed to follow. It basically says to avoid whatever's shubha (that's something that could be haram but we're not sure). So if one scholar says that music is haram and another says that music is halal, for our sake we should avoid it anyway because there's obviously a chance that it may be haram. But if we avoided it altogether then we're not running the risk of doing something we're not supposed to be doing and it's not like the quality of our lives will suffer by not listening to music.

I find it completely ridiculous to say that listening to Music's forbidden. Well, thats me!

Btw, this thread is about discussion or bringing out verses from the Quraan and making sense of it? :os

Ppl will get depressed cuz they can't listen to music??? :duh: OH PLZ. If that's the case then they've got bigger problems than a big of music can solve. They need a shrink.
