I'm tired and fed up of using IE because it virtually always hangs up on me. And then all these pops up evade me pop-up buster and show up on my screen ... then, I suddenly get the "Running on low virtual memory" message and yada yada yada!

I've been trying "Avant Browser" for some time now and its pretty cool. Has an in-built pop-up and ads blocker, which works real good.

What browser do you use or suggest me to use, other than IE?

I'm using Internet Explorer with a google plug-in that blocks pop ups. it works perfectly for me.

u can try using a very simple browser which barely usues any virtual memory.

http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/download.php

also.. u should always check if there are any unncessary programs running in the background. I noticed that explorer could be running unncessarily in the background even when am not using it. just press CTRL + ALT + DELETE , if u're using windows xp , then when the windows task manager pops up , got to "Process" and end all the "Iexplorer.exe" that are running. then u can restart explorer and it should work just fine.

Am also using the google plug-in with the pop-up blocker.
IE works fine with me. Shinoda try using the ad-aware program suggested in another thread to clean your PC.

You'll be amazed at the number of ad softwares that work in the background.

Nabhan, thats what I was doing for more than a week! Ctrl+alt+del and ending the process tree for most process trees that hang about, in the background.

EviliO, I've done that too .. and it did help, yes.

I'm using Opera right now and it looks pretty cool and it faster too. Thanks guys!

DeepBlueSea: as far as I remember its a banner that should be on the top. Maybe you also registered it. So that removes the banner.
