woow mashashallah its indeed a blessing

its said that whoever dreams of prophet Mohammed peace be upon him means that he is sending you a message so you have to follow whats in the dream ..

you can pray "salat al shukur" for this .. I dont think there is a set of prayer after dreamin the prophet .. never heared of that.

It is. I spent the last 15 minutes searching for the hadith that confirms that but couldn't find it! I know its in one of my books back home.

I also would love to hear about this dream Abs and I believe it is a good sign for you. What happened for you to feel that it was Prophet Mohammed and not another messenger?

I'm going to read up on Prophet Muhammad all night, starting right now then ... hopefully I'll dream him!

Does the dream have to be pleasant?

Thankyou very much all for your responses.

I would like to narrate my dream, but i'll make it very brief because i have a lot of studying to do. I will say it the way i think i dreamt it and if i make any mistakes then i hope for forgiveness from Allah.(S.W.T)

The Dream - (Told in short notes)

"I dreamt i had gone back in time, to the time when people everywhere around me wore good robes(dishdashas) and turbans. There were no cities like the ones we have nowdays. It was all just sand houses and huts. Couldnt really tell which year i was in".

Cant remember how it continued exactly so i'll write what happened(the parts i can best remember).

"The place i was staying looked very very similiar to the school i was studying in India. The dormitory and beds etc. This time the dormitory i was staying in was made of bricks. and the bed were made of steel".

"I remember seeing the prophet(S.A.W) and im very sure i heard someone say his name..Until now im sure it was our prophet(S.A.W)"

"He(S.A.W) was very fond of me...He(S.A.W) would always make it a point to talk with me..."

"Since i was from the future..i knew what was going to happen with him(S.A.W) and how he(S.A.W) was going to cease..It was breaking my heart so much to see him(S.A.W) so peacefully around his people, yet he(S.A.W) didnt know his end coming."

"I remained quiet and didnt want to tell him(s.A.W) about it, but i did inform others(followers)..They too felt pity for him"

"That night, on his penultimate day, i went and kissed his hands and feet while he(S.A.W) was asleep, and i just cried and cried at his feet. Everyone was asleep, and i didnt want to show my emotions to anyone."

"He(S.A.W) awoke while i touched his feet, and he(S.A.W) asked me what was the problem....I explained it to him(S.A.W)."

"I think he(S.A.W) understood and simply left....I and the other followers searched for him(S.A.W) and at last we found him(S.A.W) seated inside a hollow shaped trunk of a huge tree. He(S.A.W) looked sad and had something in his hand...something that looked bitter(salty) and sharp."

"All of us were crying a lot....i cant really remember at this point all that he(S.A.W) had said. But he(S.A.W) did speak something very emotional."

At this point i just woke up........I wrote the above to the best of my knowledge and explained it exactly the way i saw it in my dream, so please do not make a MOCKERY out of it. I really value my dream. I would appreciate it if anyone could come up with a good explanation about the dream or tell me what i should be doing after i have seen this dream.

Thankyou...

Few scholars have mentioned that it is an indication of a good ending for one's life in the Allah's view. As for following the vision (Again, a dream in Islam is from the Shaitan, and a vision is from Allah) it has to be compared to Quran and Sunnah, if it is within accordance then yes, following the vision is okay.

Usually seeing him Peace be Upon Him, is a sign of good fortune, should one see him for instance while he is sad then soon enough he would end up happy.

Well Shino, here is a funny story with a good moral : one upon a time , there was a young student who went up to his mentor and asked of a way to see the prophet Peace Be Upon Him while asleep. So the mentor locked the doors and said : verily I tell you the secret handed from generation onto the other. You seek a secret that you shall know about in few: If you want to see him, then you should stop eating for 2 days at least then pray for a certain amount of time, then sleep to the Qabla and you should see him, but you should wear blah and blah.

So the kid does all that while starving so happy cause its gonna pay towards the end. He wakes up with the saddest look on his face. Then his mentor asked :what is it you saw?
- bread! The boy said.. I did not see the prophet I saw bread and beef and he started listing all sort of food.

So the mentor gave him the silliest look going : You actually thought that it is gonna work? If you really want to see him Love him so much with obsession, just like you love your stomach...!

I dont know really...His face was kind of blurry. But while he(S.a.w) was seated at the tree, i managed to glimpse a bit of his side face. He(s.a.w) had a beard, short and neat, and he looked a bit old(s.a.w), a fourty year old. More than that i dont remember really.

Such a blessed dream Abs, I would go with what AP said, praying Salat el Shukr would be good.

I think your best chance in knowing the meaning of the dream, is by remembering what he said.

There could be other ways to explain some parts of the dream, but I think that would be the main thing.
