Nine-year-old Rebecca Chan has her cat Oliver blessed by Rev. Rose-Hannah Gaskin at St. Andrew's-Wesley Church on Sunday evening during the church's annual Pet Blessing and Celebration of Creation. The tradition of blessing animals goes back to St. Francis of Assisi's love for all creatures, and is conducted to give owners a chance to connect spiritually with their pet.......

DO they have this in Islam?

Do pets go to heaven?

Do we still have to take them on walks there?

Could never bring my Zagor cause he's a natural born trouble maker like me, but these type of ceremonies are kinda funny specially in a small village: cows, horses, sheeps screaming and their owners having a nice time to spend.
Don't think they'll walk with us in the after life but for sure prophet Muhammad saws told us to treat them kindly in this life.
I remember an old episode of the Bill Cosby show where the little girl had gone so depressed after her fish had died, that to make her happy the whole family celebrated the funeral in the toilet burying it in the WC.
Where am i :os Lost as always...ahhh crazy Amo

Actually from what I've heard, all animals go to heaven.

According to someone I know, they become the sands of the Heaven (تراب الجنة)

In Islam :

Animals are first on the Day of Judgment " am sure the ladies won't mind this time" . Once they are done with, they turn into dust.

However there are two indications that certain animals not species. Would enter heaven, the more accurate is the one to include only 4 animals that lived in this life. The other version includes 10.

Not all altered states of consciousness are caused by drugs and there appears to be no lack of otherwise "normal" people who believe the most peculiar things.

I, for one, would welcome having previous pets, etc. speaking for me. The cats and anoles (new world Chameleons) especially.

There could be some problems caused by a bucket full of salamanders, some "sun burned" ants, 4 roaches that went through impromtu rocket flight training, and some negative comment from a green pit viper, but otherwise animals would speak well of me.

My son wanted his dog blessed on St Assisis Day or something like that. So we took him down. No harm in it. Made my son feel like he did something good, and the dog stopped acting up (no kidding).
