A few days ago i was at al-fair buying gum as usual and there was a kid behind me in the line waiting to pay... he was about 8 years old? maybe 9 but no way more than 10... and he wore all those chains around his neck and wrist bands blah blah... basically a "gangster" wannabe. well Anyway after i paid, i saw him tip toe trying to get a cigarette box!! and i wanted to wait and see if the lady would actually sell it to him but my cousins were in a hurry so i had to get out, but while i was in the car i saw him outside holding the box !! i mean dont they atleast have age limits here ?! weather that cigarrete box was for him or not do u think they should sell them to kids ? how heartless can ppl get? I think they should ban smoking in the whole of Oman :angre: they shouldnt sell them, people die because of them and they stink anyway... and they do sell them they should atleast have age limits! i mean how STUPID! if i could i'd file a complaint but to whome do i complain to ? :confused:

By Law, the shop shouldnt be selling ciggirets to a person under 18 of age.

sadly to know that shpe keepers dont follow that rule :(

the first blame is to this kid's parents...how can they in the first place let their kid wear like that and being so shallow to copy these pathatic looks?!:no:
and how can they give their kids money enough to buy a cigarrete box??
and second blame is to the shopkeeper!! i mean how can she dare!! God!

I also think that it's the parents responsibility to be aware of what their children do, and to teach them right from wrong..

The person behing the counter should also have more sense than to allow the kid to purchase that pack of cigarettes.. but then stores nowadays only want money. Money is everything to some people. As long as the $$$ keeps on rolling it, it matters not who gets harmed in the process.

Ahh paleees they sell one cigarette for 200 bz I think or 100 , so anyone can get a piece I mean they don’t care about your age !! And how do you know if the boy has parents I mean he could be messed up or something, you never know!!

well we cant blame the parents because the kid may wore the clothes at his friend's place or somewhere put side his house....... well as for money, well it could be that he asked people for money .....
well pesonally i think that the ones to be blamed are shopkeepers because they shouldnt be selling cigirattes to kids,,,,,,

There may be another angle were not looking at. Was the shopkeeper Indian? A lot of youths here are notoriously racist against Indians (and not just youths). They get bullied a lot. Imagine being screamed at and sworn at by a 10 year old in front of anyone, disgusting racist slurs, etc. Its better to just let the kid kill himself with the cigs, maybe. At least thats what you may think in his position.

There are so many laws in this country covered with dust!!

I would like to see parents made to buckle their kisd in the back seat of the car, in baby seats for little ones. So many serious injuries in car accidents are kids.

Just thought I'd add that in...not entirely relevant, I know.

I remember back in high school most of the students in the WHOLE SCHOOL hide behind this mosque and have cigarretes!! even new year students .. i mean like WTF! and i'm in college now and not most of them but ALL of the freakin students SMOKE .. where ever you walk around here in kuwait .. little and old boys smoke .. i mean why are all the boys addicted and obessed about this killer stick?.. i hate it with all my heart .. my friends smoke .. my uncles smoke too .. my older brother smokes ..and my dad died of smoking .. whats the point in smoking? it should be banned from the whole world , seriously.. :mad: :angre:
