Many western movies offend god or make a joke by using god and I think it is very offensive.
For example:
"If u pay me 1000 I can even find god for u"
Is the last phrase I heard watching this movie yesterday!
If they believe in god and respect god then why do they use god as entertainment just to sell movies and so on ..
Isnt that forbidden in other religions too??
Another example is while I was watching Gothika afew days ago where someone claims that he is god in a funny sarcastic jocky kinda way!!
It really pisses me off .....
Its entertainment...if its going to offend you then stop watching movies

Movies or music, art in general, i'd rather say, are the mirror of our society and in our society not only God is offended but many other religious believs and moral values in general.
Don't know if eastern society is a perfect one, not from what i see whenever i come, but if you don't like western society and the means by which they represent it, well the only thing to do is to stay out of it.
I understand God is the superior being for those like me who follow a religion, but not for others who see Him as a subject to investigate in order to try to understand the infinite worlds around us. So, till there's a sort of freedom in this life, i don't really care about the offence which can be made to God or to sacred issues, but in which way they're done, everything must be built in a useful way: awakening the conscience of people to let them understand how much evil is going round and how little we're realising about it or doing against, that's what i call a useful way.
Yes, you are completely right my sister. Many of the western movies show no respect to god. For example, they say that Bible is a holy book sent to them by god, but in many movies they insulted it. Last week, I downloaded an anime movie called Black Bible. I was shocked to see women being ****ed and raped under the name of Bible. They showed many scenes in which nuns were making love and many things that my tongue can not utter. The movie was in English with an American accent.

My guess is that those who write, direct, and act in the scenes which offend you, aren't terribly concerned about God's opinion.
My advice is to stop supporting an industry which offends you by spending money to watch the movies :rolleyes:

Me too agree with Qais and was the first answer which came to my mind, well to be honest even worse :D , but that's the wrong attitude which scares the people here and according to some, keeps them away from religion forum.
So be soft westerners kafirs, so people won't be scared :angel:
I think that movies like Dogma and other jokes and lines that are said in movies are not always made to be offensive.
Its like they want to believe God is close to them, and understands and jokes!
When you watch a "western" movie as been called in here, you probably should know that it comes from a different society than yours.
By watching it, you accept the fact that this movie wont respect you nor your society.
If you're watching it for fun then have fun! If not, then just as moonchild mentioned above. Stop funding an industry that you think is offending you.

Seeing the title Black bible, I thought it would be merely about religion or something like that so I downloaded it. But after I came to discover what was inside, I deleted it. And by the way, I downloaded it for free; I wasted no money from my pocket.

Surely you noticed some fine print stating that no nuns or animals were harmed in the production.
Or is your eyesight getting weaker as your palm gets stronger ?

Do you expect "kuffar" to respect their God, but the problem is with us muslims to spend money on watching such movies which shows no respect to God.

I would be upset if I saw an arabic movie which makes fun of god.. but never a western one , since they have a very different mentality and all.

BECAUSE "it wouldn't be released" is a pretty good reason for Arab movie makers to not invest $$ in making one.
1- Muslims claim that they respect GOD...and kill humans...
2- OTHERS...offend GOD in movies...yet respect the value of a human's life....

Yet not, apparently, watching them, doubtless for "academic" purposes. I have just got back from a conference in The Netherlands. I could not help but overhear a large group of men talking in Arabic in the "Adult" section of the tax-free DVD emporium at Schiphol airport.

Others kill humans as well. Christian soldiers are killing Iraqi old people and children everyday for no valid reason. They even showed no respect for the human's value when they abused their prisoners.
Try using logic when you talk next time .!
