Soooo, i was kinda shocked about the first, as always your endless culture makes me feel small :help: : after quick research i found that actually christianity is the main religion in Tonga and others, but before there was an amazing huge treasure of mithology traditions, dunno if still spread and how much. Really very interesting:

something tells me that you took from there the idea of God=Nature which is not enough for me. I spend a period of my life searching for a guidance and i must confess that i tried everything included tarots and other silly things. Your mithology reminded me that i kinda embraced the religion of WakanTanka, the spirit of American natives but probably i was more attracted from their history of unjustice: I was born on the prairies where the wind blew free and there was nothing to break the light of the sun. I was born where there were no enclosures (Geronimo)
Well to cut it short, yes all mithology is fascinating, nice stories but not enough for someone in search of.........

the period i was talking about, was a transition one : i was fed up of catholic stuff and i was searching for something more.
Some say that those who cannot stay without a religion, do it just because they need something to lean on, something superior to believe in, like a kind of protection. I don't agree with this, as all those who have a religion were silly weak people: my standing point has always been that all this around us, earth, rain, birds, life, and all that which happens to us must have a superior being behind, a great director. Nothing can come as a coincidence or better, i don't see how people can live just by rational standards: call him Dio, Allah, Buddha or whatever, there must be a God without whom we cannot go on in life. Never felt to be atheist or even worse Agnostic .

Well Shak you wanna take me back to nightmares today: all i remember of this deadly sin is that i had to memorize with the others and also with some other definitions cause it was important to conquer the access to the following year of catechism and to be sure that we knew the religion there were written and oral questionnaire; i got the second sacrement at 9 and the third at 18: my priest was particularly demanding, he used to say that he wanted to be sure about our true religious feelings. The result? A series of lies to his questions and private interviews and i got the most important sacrement: the one which allows you to the fourth and most important in life, marriage. Isn't it funny, so many efforts for nothing cause i'll never get married, at least not as catholic, but i guess in general also as Muslim, getting old. What i like of my story is that God gave me the chance to live two lives and that's a blessing for sure.
Back to your question which was much more simple but brought me back to my past: gluttony is just one of thousands human weakness, weakness of the body but dangerous cause when the body is weak also the soul is.

as i understood you are atheist, how can someone live with the need of making everything rational, everything material, don't you feel bad like that, same to Mony, maybe you both already answered in some past thread
and again: why atheist and not agnostic?

We all have difficult times in love. I had many a love disaster - to include my first marriage.

Is your religion an issue in finding love ? Maybe such a small pool of potential suitors for a Muslim woman in a small town in Italy.
