View Full Version : Swine and Pre-marital sex

Swine eating in christianity is haram and so is pre marital sex. Why so many self proclaimed followers of christ do all these forbidden things?

MoonChild

Eating pork is not forbidden - Christians are not held to the restrictive dietary practices from Judaism.

Pre-marital sex is of course forbidden. People do it anyway for the obvious reason that they feel like it. Just like some muslims

You do it on a scale much larger proportionately, its almost a fact that christians disregard their religion today as if it were a myth or a fairytale taught on sundays. Swine is forbidden in christianity, there is a verse let me find it.

Bucks don't say YOU, I don't think Moonie is a Christian (am I right Moons?).

I pretty much agree with that statement; yes muslims do it as well but I don't think its as openly practiced as with western societies; which in turn has an effect on the scale of people practicing it. If its OK then its more likely to be done... society does have some amout of control over us.

Christianity does not follow Old Testament dietary laws. Catholicism is strict about sexual relations, but if you have seen Monty Python´s "The Meaning Of Life" you will be aware that Catholics have much more fun than Protestants.

I only you knew what you were talking about....

Mark 7:

15 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
16 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
17 And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

I'm Christian...

I'm still a virgin...

And funny enough, it's not my Christian friends that point the finger and laugh at me and make jokes about my virginity all day long, it's my Muslim friends...

Secondly, about pork... it is haram. My family doesn't even go near the stuff.

Interesting point sanwin :)

I'm a peaceful person and i'm not going to lash back at you.
I just don't see any need to :)

I've just grown to use certain words as i've lived in the middle east for the last 15 and a half years...

That would explain the attitude to pork anyway.

But as the verses posted above, there is no ban on Pork in Christianity.

Hmmm with those verses in mind, i guess i'd have to agree with you in some sense.

But then again, it's all a matter of choice and we are all allowed to do whatsoever we want - just keep in mind that we'l lall be judged equally at judgement day...

I think this would be the right time to say "Amen..."

:)

I didn't say you had to eat pork.

I was just commenting on UmHamed who thought he had found Biblical ban on the eating of pork.

Of course you have a choice ! You can eat it or you can choose not to eat it !

Thats what freedom of choice is all about.

Peace.

11:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These [are] the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that [are] on the earth.

11:3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, [and] cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.

11:4 Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: [as] the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he [is] unclean unto you.

11:5 And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he [is] unclean unto you.

11:6 And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he [is] unclean unto you.

11:7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he [is] unclean to you.

You obviously did not read my response where I quoted the verse from the New Testament which no longer forbade any specific food.

Nothing that goes into you from the outside can corrupt you.

Evil is what comes out from within the heart of man.

Get over it.

As a muslim perhaps you aren't aware that Old Testament is considered the historical word of God given to the jews, but that Christians are not bound to it's laws. Jesus gave a new code of behavior in the New Testament.

I think this is the source of your confusion - the verse you quoted was Old Testament - which is the book of Jewish Law. It also requires one to stone anyone seen working on the Sabbath.

The New Testament, as shown by Sanwin, releases Christians from the micro-management (explicit dietary, dress code, and behavior rules) of the Jews.

Moonie you could be right although it will be interest to know the history of new testament.

I have nothing personal against any pig, I know that Pork spoils easier than most meat because the pig carries many germs, anyone who ate it at the very least got a running stomach. So for those who enjoy the irresistible pork....... Please, you have our blessings, just make sure it is hot.

As for Muslims and those who follow the old testament, Good we have information which is helpful to our health, but other than that,I suppose everyone is entitled to their own preferences :) .

All meat spoils if not cured, smoked, or refrigerated. I'm sure that was a real concern in the hot desert until quite recently. However, I've eaten pork all my life and never been sick from it. I'm a lot more concerned about the freshness of the fish I buy, as it spoils so quickly!
It's possible, that at one time pigs of the middle east carried diseases that are not found in modern herds. But I can guarantee that if you ate the delicious pork dishes that Wanderer serves at our house, the only danger of a tummy-ache is from eating too much because it is so good :color:

You may find it delicious because your man serves it but me nahhh.;) You may not suffer now but who knows in the future because Many people have NO SYMPTOMS after having pork. When they do have any sickness in long term, they resemble symptoms of many other illnesses :scary:

Pig's bodies contains MANY TOXINS, WORMS and LATENT DISEASES. Although some of these infestation are harboured in other animals, but pigs are far MORE PREDISPOSED to these illnesses than other animals because Pig is the dirtiest animal ever,he eats everything and that is why he carries all diseases from different sources,I mean.....he can even eat from the rubbish pits,he doesn't choose,he'll eat anything from used sanitary pads to rats, god knows what else...UGH! :yuck:

Of course, if you properly mulch all the gross items you can think of that a pig might eat, you will find that all of your fruit and vegetables grow in it too.

The next time you eat a banana or apple, keep in mid that the soil it was grown in was probably fertilized with animal feces.

Could well be that your rice, vegetables, and fruit was grown in pig manure.

swim and roll around in swill, like swine. Swine also carries TB. Anyway, this topic still going? I see that nothing new has come up since i started all these rubbishy threads. Also isn't convenient to come up with a NEW version if you don't like what the OLD one says, how do you get any stability? No wonder the crime rates are so high in the west, ya its all good times and good karma until some christian kid walks into a high skool and blows his fellow students up. But anyway, i'm rambling......

Fact: humankind are like cattle and need to be kept under control
Fact: Free animals that run wild and free, get shot, killed, maimed, neglected by others and their own. Till one day they get tamed again.

What is this topic about again? Yes yes swine swine and pre-marital jig jig.

Christians who engage in pre-marital sex are 'so-called' Christians, by name. Same as Muslims who engage in pre-marital sex.
