Catholics can be expelled from the religion? What kind of religion is that to tell you that you are not a member of the religion and god doesn't welcome your prayers anymore because some cardinal says so?

Church of England Protestants: you pray to god by proxy of a vicar, pay the church lots of money on Sunday, what do you get for this money that you pay the church? As far as i'm aware most old churches are left to rot, so where does this money go and to who? Missionaries trying to convert jungle people on south america, who indoctrinated by putting the fear of God into them by threating them with eternal ****ation in hell? Just curious, whats up with that?

Americans chritians: Methodists, presbyterians, lutherans, episcopal, native american church, christian zionists, christian scientists.

Now with all these conflicting ideas among your 1 god /triple entity worshipping religion by proxy of priest/vicar/bishop/confession/communion and mass with no direct link to the almighty, where do talk on issues far greater than how to pray, who is next inline after the last prophet. Where do you find time to sit down and have tea?

Also where do you find the time to poke pedantic obscure and ambiguos negative points about other religions, even though you are not even taught about othe religions in school. And even if you did take divinity or a university level theology course why do you focus on relatively irrelevant parts of other religions as the main focus of the course and then claim you are experts? Its all very easy to nitpick, it isn't easy to actually learn and have dialog is it?

On the positive side, religious human sacrifices ARE down a bit now in the Americas.

The current population also has an improved resistance to smallpox over their forefathers.

Of course, RELIGION as a general category. You know, all lumped in together. Yours, theirs. All of them:

Idol worshippers, animists, monothiests, polythiests, shamanists - the whole kit and kaboodle.

Do you know actually know anything about your religion? I think you are really a muslim, who is too ashamed to say hes a muslim with doubts and hence pretend to be this ignorant hick.

That would make me an ignorant Muslim like you.

As far as my religion is concerned, I know all i need to know.

Just happens that with all this crazy sh!t in the world being carried out by members of your religion, we are trying to figure out what makes you tick.

Makes you tick ? Got that mechanic boy ?

Its not like Christians and Jews are committing crazy acts in this world, only muslims. Yes clearly you ahve to understand islam and not your own relgions, who just might be the cause of this "craziness" you speak of.

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT, you clearly missed the bus to school. This topic is about other religions, so stick to it please. I take it your obesession to talk aout Islam and have no views on this threads subject is because you agree with everything i said. Very good, if you want to talk about Islam being hte cause of all the craziness open another thread, don't waste time sidetracking us with your red herrings.

I'm really surprised at the lack of knowledge you have, you just like to manipulate words and nitpick. The fact is christians follow a religion that is so obscure and ambiguous on the main facts you know you can not make any supporting statements and hence prefer to spend your time nitpicking the most relatively irrelevant points on Islam.

But its ok, when you pass your confusion phase you will see the light. Don't worry, have a hot dog and a coke you will feel much better

Really, you are the one who is blinded by superstition - that believes in Jinn and dog-fearing angels.

Why would angels fear dogs ?

Than instead of inciting hate throughout the Sabla ... why don't you guys ... who are intelligent use all that brain power for something positive ...

I'm not a hippy ... but this is getting tiring ... I've been reading the sabla for about 3 years now ... and this sh!t has to end sooner and later ...

Foreigners and Arabs ... Muslims and Non-Muslims ... you all have a stake in positive communication ...

Cause all this negative crap just incites more BS (and that doesn't stand for British Standard).

Why/When would a cardinal expel a person from Christianity? What exactly do they have to do to be expelled?

you pray to god by proxy of a vicar

This I cannot agree with. I don't see why you should need another human being to pray to your God. Every human should be able to pray whenever; however he pleases. If God hears us all and is ever knowing why wouldn't he hear a prayer or a call for forgiveness?

Catholics can be excommunicated, I'm not sure the reasons, and I think it's rarely done these days. IT was a very big deal back in the dark ages when the Pope was ruler of Europe ... now very few would care

The Catholic Church made up the part about needing a priest to intercede in forgiveness (confession and absolution), and praying to saints (although I'm not sure if the saint intercedes with God on their behalf, or if a saint (long dead but now in Heaven) has some power of their own to help them). It ALL stemmed from the overwhelming worldy/political power the Church gained and held for 1,000 years, and the need to keep the population ignorant and afraid in order to keep that power.

None of it is based on Biblical scripture.

I've always considere the Catholics to be nearly polythestic in their devotion to the saints and in particular Mary is basically their Goddess (Though they will never admit it).
