Michael Schumacher driving a Ferrari won the season-opening Australian Formula One Grand Prix at Albert Park here on Sunday.

The six-time world champion led an emphatic one-two for Ferrari with teammate Rubens Barrichello taking second ahead of Renault's Fernando Alonso third.

My elder brother always used to cheer for Schumacher , and eventually got me interested in his driving. there is no surprise here that he won. :)

Formula 1 is poo.

For real racing, try Moto GP (starts 18 april in South Africa) or World Superbikes (already started, next race 28 March in Australia).

For uniquely dangerous insanity, check out the Isle of Man TT (5-11 June).

F1 drivers have smaller willies than GP riders...little known but true fact.

What a marvellous race it was!

Was my first race to attend and surely wont be the last! Too crowded, too noisy and alot of fun.

They should invent a pair of glasses that slows the motion of objects around you :D

Congrats to the Ferrari team and hope they continue their marvellous victories throughout the championship this year.
They dominated the first two positions since the start of the race!

Ow people, Mclaren and BMW are going to have a hard time beating these two little jets :)

Montoya had a hardtime since the start of the race, lost 3 positions in 1 second!

The sauber was about to make a crash just in front of me! But yeah the driver was able to control his baby.

Well done Shumacher and Barrichelo... can't wait for the malysian Grandprix on the 21st of this month.

What you think about the new rules, Evi?

EviliO

Well Amo, let me list the most important new rules here:

- No private Friday testing or qualifying sessions.

As it clearly says, no private testing. Which means, all temas get the same amount of testing a practicing.
I support this rule as it will balance the amount of testings, which were previously annoying many people.

- Two-part Saturday qualifying session, which will set race grid.

In here, the first qualifying starting order will start based on the results of the previous race. The second one however, will be in revers order of the one before.

- Ban on launch control.

In otherwords, drivers will use the clutch mechanism to get the car moving.

- Ban on fully automatic gearboxes.

Again, forcing the driver to make everything by himself.

- One-engine rule on race weekends. Teams changing engines before qualifying will be penalized grid position; teams swapping engines during qualifying and before the race will start from the back of the field.

- Each car's rear wing may feature no more than two main horizontal elements to reduce down force and slow cars in the turns.

- Choice of tires for qualifying and race to be made before first Saturday practice session.

- Pit lane speeds increased from 50 to 60 m.p.h.

In general i think that these rules are great and would give more pressure on the driver. Theses new regulations will lower the amount of differences between the companies technologies and will make the race focused on the drivers' personal experience.

In other words, If you are a good driver than you will win the race. If you are not, and you've been depending on your company in everything then tuff luck and you gonna get some hardtime this year.

This would allow for more competition between the cars and would make it more interestiong for the fans to watch what is going on in the F! Championship.
