View Full Version : It Hurts...
I constantly hear that Islam is a religion of peace...
...yet why is it that when i log onto Sabla and i read all these posts which condemn Christianity and point the finger, i lose that sense?
Why can't we live in this world in peace? Why can't we just believe in what we believe and respect each others religions?
Don't you know that it hurts sometimes when you dont respect another persons religion (especially when they respect your religion?)
Why can't we just do this until judgement day because as far as i'm concerned, if we keep this up we will never see peace and we will keep fighting and never see an end of the constant violence between "humans" until judgement day.
I pray you will all agree with me and you will find some sort of peace in your hearts :S
Yours truly,
DJ Vù
Arabian Princess 28-02-04, 02:40 PM I totally agree with you Dj Vu.
but going back to the history of sabla, Islam was fighted too and non-muslims (unfourtountly) made alot of fun out of Islamic concept. So its not only about christianity it goes two ways.
I always thank monothiest for his civilised manner. He was a Jew and we managed to get alot of information about Judisim from him.
Miliraldo peacraft is great when it comes to chrsitianty too, thanx.
religion is a very sesetive matter, people should start to understand that.
DJ-VU....
those who disrespect other religions, they dont have respect to their own as well...
all they know is to say: "can christians answer this? and can Jews answer this?? and they get some verses from the HOLY BIBLE showing other religions that their religion isnt the true one..and that it has many "FABRICATED" verses...
DJ-VU..plz ask them why dont they first solve their own religion problem...as its the "MONTH OF MUHARRAM" ...u will see Sunni and Shia kiling each other soon...
i wont comment more...
urs faithfully,

sophis^catrina 28-02-04, 06:19 PM I completely agree with all of the above posts. Very true, DJ vu. I've always believed in religious tolerance. I believe that we should always listen to others and respect their views, because in turn that's the only way in which they would respect my religion. Unfortunately people of my religion out of great love for it, believe in forcing our views and attacking others, they don't realise that that's the best way to repel people away from islam. But as AP said some non-muslims do the same exact thing. I myself get hurt when people attack Islam, especially if it's to do with Allah. Although DJ vu, don't get too sensitive if we do constructively criticise each others religions, this is the religion board after all, we are supposed to do that! :D We do want our questions answered! :p :)
It's great to see that Sabla members (like you all above) can really agree with someone who is totally different from you :)
I hope that others too in Sabla can share this great gift of Peace (which is surely from God) amongst each other and amongst every other individual in the World.
Thanks guys...

some times when you touch the truth and would like to tell who still not , they considered it as offends

the violence will never be ended as long as humans have different religions
besid :judgement is not that easy to wait and see what will happen
Shinoda LP 29-02-04, 09:08 PM Dj ... its wonderful to see a Muslim post a thread like this.
And ... what can I say? The best example is to lead by example, and hopefully you'll change people who're close to you.
I'm starting to love Sablab more, day by day ... :inno:
sophis^catrina 29-02-04, 09:59 PM Is DJ vu Muslim? I thought he was Christian? :lost:
Shinoda LP 01-03-04, 01:53 AM And I thought he was a Muslim from an African country ... lets wait for him to reveal the truth! :)
he is from "GHANA"...and 30% of the population r muslims...
but i doubt he is a muslim...anyway the religion of the person matters to me the "least"..
lets hope this kid becomes as famous as his compatriot Mr-Kofi Anan...
cheers...

I'm Christian :)
But i've lived in Oman all my life and i have so many Muslim friends and i basically call them my brothers and sisters.
I don't care what anyone thinks about that.
I'm a peaceful person and i'm happy with the way God has made me. And i know this one thing for sure, no matter what happens, we will (Lord willing) see each other in heaven one day and celebrate in "unity"... this is my number one prayer - to see each and everyone of you in heaven, in paradise :)

Silver_ring, this thread is not about what you are imposing. It is about bringing peace among us and its about getting things sorted out.
But, to answer your question...as a Christian I do fast and i do pray. As a matter of fact, i'm fasting and praying at the moment because its lent and yes...i do fast until sunset. Some choose to give up something for a month, some choose to fast until mid-day, but i dont eat or drink from the time i wake up until 6pm.
Muslims have Ramadhan, Christians have Lent...
We all believe in what our scriptures say...
I strongly believe in what the Bible says...its a matter of choice...its a free World.
And...i'm not going to tell you what to do or what to believe in because it's "your" choice. I never have forced anyone, and i never will because GOD has given us all the choice...
:)
Arabian Princess 01-03-04, 03:09 PM Silver Ring, at the end of the day Allah Judges everyperson with his actions and his deeds.
I dont think we have the right to say who will enter heaven and who wouldnt, it far byond our league. We should concentrate on making good deeds on earth and let Allah judge us, and I am sure he is fair!
