A random thought.......what if the whole world converted to Islam.......

How would it be different???

Cause I am not getting that warm and fuzzy feeling between the muslims of Iran towards Arabs or Arabs towards Turks?

or for that matter Shias and sunnis......

and well the wahabis...........

True muslim's do have their differences, especially when it comes to sects but hey, that's how people are!

well, if evrybody followed the rules properly and had no evil behaviour, then there would a just syste.

i nkow you will try to argue all my points but i still feel ike replying.

1) no alcohol/drugs - effect - no rape, o murder, no abuse, no illness, o crying, no depression etc.

2) Marriage - effect - nobody is left alone, children have parents and grow up in a equal society and get much attention from parents and good education.

3) Prayer - effect- mankind realises that this life is temporary cause its certain that we all will die one day, rememberence of God and surely it his to him we will return. surely.

ok its prayer time right now gotta go.

Are these things true of currently Islamic societies? If not, there's no reason to believe that it would suddenly become true for "newly Islamic" societies.

I believe that was the focus of the question.

Neither is that :bored: The one book I use as a 'self help' is one written by a muslim guy. It does have verses and hadiths but thats the backup for what he's saying. Its probably one of the best Islamic books anyone came out with in a LONG time. Even non-muslims would probably benifit from it!

I have an odd sense of humor. I was trying to play off of stereotypes.

For example, where is the outrage that Iraqis are killing other Iraqis - suicide bombers killing police cadets/police officers, etc. ? I coupled that with a "it's the will of God" apathy and 2 famous US autos recalled for safety concerns in my comment.

I guess I need a sarcasm tag.







BTW - I have been worried that a trend in my posts recently might be construed as Arab/Muslim bashing. It is not intended as such.

I suspect that, as in the west, a small percentage are enough to give the rest a bad image.

It is my hope that most of us (from either "world") would rather hang out in bookstores/libraries, sip coffee, go to movies, sit and chat, cook food, watch (or better, engage in sports), chase after our kids, gently tease each other, hear about love and heartbreak, and better ourselves together, than to move to some supposed opposite side of an invisible cultural fence and wish ill of each other.

That an interesting question, but the world is not about white and black. It does not mean if the world converts to Islam then you will have peace, no rapping, no harms, no extremists, and so on.. Life is Life! Or let's be more specific here, whenever you replace something by something else, then you will keep getting new stuff which might replace it.

There is no direct answer for all this, except that if the world was ran by the right people, and whom follow the true religion, then it would surely be a better place, but with the wrong hands holding power, so corruption would still exist.

Remember this, there is NO such thing as "Perfect World" expect in God's heavens. Because when the world practises perfectasim, then what is the point of life? Life is about the bads and the goods, about the advantages and disadvantages.
