Which religion strikes you as being the most objectively plausible, and which one most irredeemably doolally?

Give 3 reasons for and against.

Very wise question deserve a very wise Answer.

Habibi Shakoosh you have answered the question by asking for specifically "3" reasons.

1. Judaism

2. Christianity

3. Islam

having put them in that order or precedence you then have to turn them around and you get The ANSWER :kewl: how about that ? Have I answered your question or or or should I be more specific.

"Surely the (true) religion with Allah is Islam, and those to whom the Book had been given did not show opposition but after knowledge had come to them, out of envy among themselves; and whoever disbelieves in the communications of Allah then surely Allah is quick in reckoning"[3:19]

"And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers".[3:85]

I hope the answer is clear SK ;).

1. Nuke
2. Oil
3. Coal

All 3 pollute the environment.

Green technology is the best, but expensive and few will pay the price to change for the greater of mankind.

No one has answered the questions properly. IceTea quotes from the Qur'an, as is his wont. I trust he grasps the fact that it was a double-edged question.

I can usually decode your hieroglyphics and consider your English to be generally good, but you have lost me here. Who or what is a "Habibi"? Is it a wise person or a mimosa?

Objectively Plausible: Ancestor worship

Don't underestimate the the influence of family

Irredeemably Doolally: any that require genital mutilation, have beliefs which conflict with the known natural world, and/or involve ingesting another human (figuratively or literally).

Genitals are important
Superstition inhibits
"To serve man" is not a cookbook

Please do excuse my ignorance, but is atheisms a religion? I was under the impression that people did not believe that god exists, how can it be a religion?

1. Old ways - Druidism

(1) Believe that education and knowledge is the key to wisdom (like duh)
(2) accept all other religions as valid and don't "judge" against them.
(3) They feel that we are caretakers of the earth, not owners of the earth.

2. Buddhism -

(1) Believe that wisdom comes from within oneself, not through external teaching
(2) Live in harmony with nature
(3) Believe there is an afterlife in which what you do now, is how you live next.

Being a Satanist, means never having to worry about spelling. All he has to say is: "The devil made me do it."

re·li·gion

1. Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.
2. A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.
2. The life or condition of a person in a religious order.
3. A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader.
4. A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.

--------

If I take number #2, as a meaning for 'religion' then Atheism fits! :)

Nope, #2 is dependent on #1

Atheists do not subscribe to #1, so #2 doesn't apply to them.

Well I took a religion test once and it said that my beliefs were 100% orthodox Jew.... don't know how accurate was that... but anyway..

Well certainly Islam is number one for me.... as for the others... I don't think I would be a follower... I would still believe in some creator, but I don't think that I would be following some strict religious rules.

Buddhism/Judaism/paganism most likely I suppose... not the rest though.... I mean like scientology/or satanism (no offense to followers of those religions) but I think that they are nasty!
