The kingdom's highest religious authority, Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Sheikh, said in a sermon that a true Muslim obeyed his rulers and protected his country.

"Does one serve his religion by seeking to destabilise national security...or by accusing scholars and rulers of being traitors? No, this is not serving religion, this is affliction."

1. It is the moral duty for every citizen to protect his motherland from foreign aggression. Teaching of Islam is the same.
2. A true Muslim must obey the command of his rulers if he is a true Muslim.

The Prophet (pbu) said:

The person must obey in whatever he loves, and in whatever he hates, in ease and in hardship, in willingness and un-willingness; except if he is commanded to disobey Allaah. So if he is commanded to disobey Allaah, then he should not listen, not should he obey.

Except if you were to see clear disbelief (kufran bawaahan) about which you have a proof from Allaah.
