i use adobe photo shop as well. i copy and paste the image into it and go to edit > transform > scale and resize it to fit into a 90 x 90 pixel frame.

First of all i have nothing against you or your avatar. They are amazing and am myself a big fan of your skills. If i didnt like my avatar and found it "gayish" then that doesnt mean i didnt appreciate your work. Infact i was so glad you found out time for me to create an avatar and to top it all it seemed to amaze the ladies. Funny how i forgot to thank you. But did you notice did the guys say anything about the avatar??? No. because we "guys" understand all these stuff. And all above all in the end its my choice whether i like my avatar or not. Topping it i even stuck to my word of keeping the avatar for "one week" just to show how much i appreciate what you did for me!!!

Coming back to what i've quoted you above, i dont think its necessary for you to get so sensitive just because i didnt really find my avatar attractive. Not appreciating your work is different from not appreciating your efforts. And i did appreciate your efforts. Remember that. I will have to admit, yes i do find all of them in one single site, but the problem is i have to do a lot of searches because its a massively huge site with millions of pictures. So you can imagine just to find one suitable picture describing a member takes ages for me. Nevertheless its worth it because its a gift whether they like it or not. :)
