this is serious, poor girl, now she has to go through life with 9 fingers. and the bad thing is that nothing happend to the principle! i think he should have a finger taken out too.

hitting in schools should be stopped, i used to be hit when i was in school, but they used to squeez my ears, or punch my shoulders or something like that. even though the teacher hit us, we used to laught. but this poor girl, what can she do now? she lost a finger and can't get it back. this should be looked at and the principle taken out of school back to his place!

It is too sad to her that. The big question is why the ministry of Education did not punch him/her? Where is our law? Why we have legal system that can do nothing for these poor children?
This person who did that grave should not only kicked out of the education system, but should be legally punched, like one year in the preson. A person like that I don’t he teach any thing. Whatever the case behind the action, whatever the cause for the action, he/she has no right to hit the students until get effect that the finger is cut. Why we take our children to schools? To get educated or to loose there fingers? I hate those teachers acting like that; I hate more the ministry of Education for agreeing of what happened. Imagine that girl is your daughter or sister?

wallah miskeen antta. dont you know that the law that we have is nothing. it is for high class of people only not to punish them but for them only.
i dont know how these teachers think. are they teachers or killers. didnt this person think about the positive and negative effects of his action before committing it. didnt he think that all the students will hate the school and hate learning due to these types of actions.
we need to encourage them not the opposite.
i think that the students have the right of scaping from school and not attending classes.
they have the right to be discouraged due to what is going on.

This is Terrible !!! ... I have hard a lote of this kind of stories which happens at school but sometimes i just felt ppl are adding up more stuff to it .. !!

Dream... you did havea point down there but when you said that " students have the rights to run away from schools I really don't agree with you " If you are actually talking about a matuerd person who knows how to stand for himself than he doen't really need to run away from school.. and if its a young boy/girl they also don't have to do that but they could tell there parents and for sure they will do something .

Well before talking about teachers who hit students ... parents do the same thing don't they???? . Do you know that in Europe if a parent actually hits his kid the government has the right to take the kid away from them and put them in a place where they take care of kids ... as they call that "abuse".
Or if a kid goes up to the cops and tell them that his dad or mom is hitting him/her .. they could put them in jail. Many parents think that actually hitting is a way to make a child learn but I don't agree with that at all. If you want your kid to listen to you you should teach him/her from the very beginning as when they are quite young . But once the kid is somewhere at the age of 10 and above its kinda hard . And no matter how much you hit .. they won't really listen to you ... as the pain goes and they will just repeat it once again . Never was hitting a way to make a kid learn .. its a very stupid way on how actually sometimes ppl think !!!

not all the students and all the people have the same strong personality.
the strength that people have differs from one of another.
some parents dont hit their children but the same child will be hitten by the teacher. to build up childrens personality many things have to be combined for example the home and the school.
also,
many children tell their parents about the things that they face from teachers but those poor parents can not do anything due to many reasons: they know how the sharks deal with these types of problems without hurting the teacher and blaming the student.
as they know the result of their action (parents), they wont do anything except keeping quite.
regarding the law in europe, this does not apply to oman. that is why parents abuse their children. we miss many good things that western countries have.
