Well, what kind of Omani dress do you girls/guys like?

I am from Sharqia .. so we wear something simmiler to the one on the right on the first photo ... I love my region dress, especially that I wear it nowdays on first eid .. so I tend to be creative in it. Me and my sister in law try to make something different every eid.

I love the Dofari dress too. I find it soo classy .. its not in those photos though.

Suri, the one in the left on the second photo is something elegent.

some girls were talking about flashy pink and flashy orange in another thread as the fashion and when its omani dress its blindining :rolleyes:

Pheonix .. you dont have to wear blinding colors .. you can choose the colors you like in an Omani dress .. you can beleive how some people make beatiful colors.


Blu Chi, well that what I found on the net .. if you can find photos it would be wounderful.. I love bluchi dresses .. a friend of mine wore a black one with silverish embroydory.and beads. I loved it sooooo much!!!

They were just talking about the fashion, AP. And those colours are blinding whether they're on an Omani dress or any other garment :D

I never saw any muted colours. Most of them are brigh pink or green or something..



By the way, where can you buy an Omani dress (sharqiyya one)? :lost:

you have to make it .. or buy the not very nice ones (blinding) in matrah or seeb.

If you have a relative who goes to sharqia .. I am sure she knows somone who does it .. :)

Im sure you can get a Baluch dress from Oman too. The pure handstitched ones I have are from Quetta and Iran and are not available easily. Here is a pic of a baluch dress, I will try to get some more.

Sorry about that I know this one dazzles alot lol. The pics I have are of people's wedding but I will try to sort something out. Depending where the dress was stitched they might vary in material and design slightly.

i lo0o0o0ove bulushi dresses .... and most of mine dresses are hand made from iran and few from pakistan .... i prefer to wear hand made than the machine .... but still i got them both ... they r so comfy ... i love my aunties wehn they send me bulushi desses from iran ...

i like the one from Sur and from dhofar....they are nice...but i don't see myself wearing omani dress...i did it once and it didn't suit me.....+ the pants were so difficult to take off.

I wore Omani dress but that was long time ago... can't even remember the color... I love Omani dresses.... I wish I could have one.... :)

I wore the Dhufari once as well but it wasn't my size so it didn't look that on me :p
