This is my First CG work i post here in English Sabla .
This was done in Macromedia Flash MX .

The Pencil Work [ Concept ]

Steps :
1- I drawed the image by pencil , then made some lines darker and sharper using a pan .
2- I scanned the image . then resized it . and exported as GIF from Fireworks .
3- Imported it in Flash MX .
4- using the pen tool and the lines tool in Flash i drawd it again by the mouse . i went over the lines of my hand drawing .
5- then started the hardest bit . [ choosing the colors which go with each other .
6- made alit of all the colors that i am going to use in coloring of the image .
7- Then started the coloring of the image .

So what do you think of this CG art . ?

Good job Concept Zero, this work of yours is Okay.

Your original drawing is extremely sharp and could have been actually traced into a vector image in Flash MX, have you tried that, I think that this might have saved you LOADS of time if it did work actually.

The vectoring of the actual room must have been dead easy, it was plain straight lines... Trying to cheat, ha? :fire: :D '

The shading of the stones and the way that sheet above the door shades the place is so cool, you got lazy though in making the shade of the palm tree on the house wall. It looks good though.

There seems to be a problem in the sheet of cloth above the door, the original drawing looks wrong as well. You were supposed to have the top part of the sheet parrellel to the top part of the wall, but the wall is slanted at a 20 degress angel while the sheet of cloth is perfectly horizontal. I think that you had a prospective problem.

The inner shadow seen inside the window at the right side of the room looks weird, the lighter part should be darker and the darker part should be lighter, I think that you messed the two parts up.

The light shades of the ground are very cool, they are not heavily put and do not have outlines, they look great.

The palm tree can't have outlined parts at some part and unoutlined parts at the other side, I think that you need to put more work on it, the way you draw palm trees is original, but I don't think that it gives the true look of the true, this looks like lattice or maybe flower, lol.

Anyway, this is a good CG image, although talking about "originality wise", I have seen this a million times before, same colours, bricks, same shading style, you might want to get a new topic for you to draw, they might look nice as well.

especially the part where you talked about the sheet and the top of the wall . i agree with you. the sheet must be parallel to the top of the wall .

The inner shadow of the window is right . am sure man . nothing wrong about it . :D .

talking about the palm tree . i wanted it to be this way actually . i didnt want it to look realistic . i wanted to add a cartoonish look to it . ;)

yeah . you have seen this much from me . the same image over and over again ... its an old one . and i must change it . but i said that i am expert in these kind of drawings . so lets start CGing with an easy image . so that i continjue CGing . ;) .

i have some projects in the making which are diferent . man .

at the end thanks alot for your helllling comments . you know what . i thought that this was a compleete CG work . but no after your comments i must say that it is not . and i have to put much time on it next time . more then the 8 hours that i spent on this one . ;) .

this is the same image with a small Fireworks edit . using the Hue and Saturation effect . and then added some forg .

but there is something wrong in this image . what is it ? :wink:

It is a good thing that you are benefitting from these comments, some people get mad when people criticize them, I hope I did not sound very harsh on you. ;)

:D The obvious mistake I can see is that "sunrise" is a single word and not two. :D

And if you want to be annoying you can say that the light shades in the background should be flipped upside down. It is supposed to be sunrise, so light should be coming from downwards. :kewl:

Great thread concept | zero and mashallah you are good. It is very interested to see the design from the original work to the graphic effect with different options.

As I love art and I am not that computer litterate, I have few questions to ask you:

1) What is "Fireworks"?
2) Where can we get a "Flash MX" program?
3) What does "GC" mean?
4) Do you draw for pure pleasure or it is your work?

If the sun rises from behind the mountains, we should see some shadows in front of the house and its front wall should be darker than the one on the side.

It is an advanced Image Edittor from Macromedia.

2) Where can we get a "Flash MX" program?
You will have to buy it or download it. You can get the demo version from http://www.flash.com

3) What does "GC" mean?
It is CG and not GC, and it stands for Computer Generated imagery. In otherwords, graphics made using computers.

I REALLY love all 3 images , the orginal , the day time and b4 sunrise .

Sharp , clean and very neat, and the colors used here are wonderful.

i would give this a 9.5/10 :)

XP, you can, but they are expensive because they are for professional users, these are not educational programs and would require sufficient skills to handle them. I love all the Macromedia Studio programmes (Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver), not many people use them, but Concept and I have been working on them together for years now.

i draw for pure pleasure, and nothing more . when am not in the mood to talk to anyone , i got to draw . when am lonly !
not as a work . i wanted to study Graphic Design . but noo luck . now am engineering student.
