FFXI, was a change to the MMORPG genre. Thanfully FFXII is a going back to traditional RPG. There are still NO info what so ever on the game. I am sure it is going to ROCK though! Cannot wait! Cannot wait!

A week before the game was supposed to be publicly revealed, the first screenshots and character renders of Final Fantasy XII have been printed in the Japanese magazine Shonen Jump.

Two major characters have been revealed so far, a man and woman named Van and Ashe. Ashe wields a sword in her picture, a departure for most Final Fantasy heroines. Also shown in the first shots are such Final Fantasy staples as a chocobo-mounted soldier and an airship.

FFXII is already known to contain a number of key staff from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and several elements of FFTA appear to be making their way into this new title. One picture includes a Bangaa, the species of yellow lizard-like creatures that fought alongside Marche in FFTA. Some have also speculated that the silhouette above the game's logo is a FFTA Judge, though it is a bit early to tell.

new Aeons..by any chance?

It is still far too early to talk about summons (original name for Aeons), there is no info about the game except its very close resemblence to FFTA and FFX. There are story details, no battle system details (except that in battle you play with three characters simulatnously! :duh:), still nothing until now.

- In an interview with the Final Fantasy XII developer Yasumi Matsuno, a few new tidbits are revealed about the game:

-The game will be in 2 DVDs
-Very little love elements in the game
-The game style resembles Vagrant Story
-Huge world map
-Many people will be surprised: "Is this Final Fantasy?"
-Tight controls


This sounds a little bit scary.

I've seen the trailer, it looks really awesome, FFVII original graphics sucked! It is a great to have this as a final reminder of a great legacy.

I think that FFX had its own tribute in having its own sequel.

I would love to see a remake of FFVIII and FFIX on the PS2 with voice overs and better graphics. Square has made something new with all its FF from 1-7 now I think that 8 would be the next one to have something added to it. Square said long time ago that it is going to remake all of its game on newer consoles.

More and more info is out about FF12.The game currently looks EXACTLY like a Final Fantasy Vagrant Story! I've seen a video posted at http://www.the-magicbox.com and even the effect have a great resemblence of Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics, I am excited about this game, it looks like a killer!

I've always loved RPG games.. And soon, this game is coming out.. I'm sure 100% that its gonna be cool and will make millions like FFX and X-2...

The graphics are cool.. But it won't be released anytime soon I guess...

The best thing about Final Fantasy XII is that it is going to be "different", the team working in the game are the ones responsible for FFT and Vagrant Story, this game looks more like these two games made into a traditional RPG. The handling of the graphics is going to be different as well, as the texture detail would be increased and the number of polygons is going t be decreased in comparison to FFX.

I have never played FF:Tactics..

It's the first time i ever hear about it... So Blue_chi tell me about it..

Is it played by turns or you have to wait for the meter?
and what about the graphics??

You just have to make sure that you do everything in the right time. I don't play much games at all. Last year I only played Soul Calibur and Xenosaga Episode 1. This year I started two games, FFTA and FFX2 and I have not completed any of them until now. I only play games that I believe are worth the time. My PS2 is getting rusty actually.
