The Corvette is absolutely one of the worlds best sports cars. Last year the Corvette was Americas #1 selling sports car. The beauty has a V8 engine that reaches the top speed of 172 mph.

The Corvette has a very long history. It has 5 generations of Corvettes. The Corvette was first manufactured in 1953 in Flint, MI. At the time the Corvette had a V6 engine that produced 150hp. That year only 300 cars were manufactured.

A lot has changed since 1953 including the Corvette. There really isn't much to say about the Corvette except that it is an all around perfect sports car. But the real pleasure about the Corvette is the pleasure of owning one

do u like this car...well i feel like its sort of classic!
so what is it?

Its http://www.geocities.com/stinkycows/lelogo.gif

The Lotus Elise is absolutely worth the money. The Elise goes from zero to 60 in 5.8 seconds all for the price of a measly 32,000 US dollars. This little car is a one of a kind car from Britian.

The Lotus Elise was first manufactured in 1996. The Lotus Elise was named after Romano Artiolli's grandaughter Elise. Sadly enough the Lotus Elise is not sold in the great US of A.

The Lotus Elise is a wonderful little beauty to have. The Elise is sure worth the money. Its not very hard to see why this cars is so popular

i think most of ya heard about this car..well...

The McLaren F-1 is the worlds best supercar, and the worlds most expensive supercar at the price of over 1,000,000 US dollars. But it is also the fastest supercar with a top speed of 240 mph.

The McLaren F-1 was first put into production in 1993. It was designed as a Formula 1 car. Only one hundred McLarens were made.

This beautiful car uses a BMW engine that can go from 0 to 60 in 3.1 seconds. The main thing you can really say about the Mclaren F-1 is it is the best. And there is probably no way you can even get your hands on one because how limited they are and how everybody wants one.

Ferrari is known making some of the best cars in the world, but when they made the Ferrari F-50 they went out of their way to make a outstanding top notch sports car. The Ferrari F-50 was based on a Formula One engine. It reaches a top speed of 202 mph or 325 km/h. It goes from 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds.

The Ferrrari F-50 was made to commemorate Ferrari's 50th anniversary. The Ferrari F-50 was first seen in 1996. There are only 349 F50s made in Ferrari' factory in Italy, and have of them were already reserved before the F50 was introduced to the world. 50 of the Ferrari F-50 were sold in the USA, Germany, and Italy.

The Ferrari F-50 is the first and last Ferrari to ever be based on a Formula One engine. The Ferrari F-50 is truely a super car.

Ah...The Mercedes CLK-GTR is a thing of beauty with gracious curves and a very exotic look. Mercedes made the car for the race tracks and it has been very sucessfull. It won more than half of the races on the 1997 circuit. The car jumps from zero to 60 in a measly 3.4 seconds! This is probably the BEST Mercedes you can find. With its great looks and great speed this is absolutely one car that should be considered one of the BEST.

can u feel ur heart pumping harder now?...well that resulted just from the look of this car..just U looking at it...BUT hey get intom It..drive it...Goooosh....I can imagine how would i feel High!

It was in 1989 that the plans for the new Bugatti-revival were presented by Paolo Stanzani, of Lamborghini Miura and Countach fame. The general lay-out of the car was already known, a prestigious 12 cylinder, 60 valve, 4 turbo, 4 wheel drive rear engined supercar, better than anything known to man (in those days). The expectation was to get 550 HP out of this! Plans were tp remain the total weight below 1300 kilograms, but this turneds out to be 1620. However, how the car should look on the outside was not known yet! This was done by Marcelo Gandini (and others) later on.
Stanzani was sent away in 1990, because of some unclear manipulations with stock, which should have given him more than 50% of the possession of Bugatti. This "coup" didn't succeed however. In the end Romano Artioli took over as the "face" of Bugatti. Maybe an article about all the political games at Bugatti should be written once.

The 15th of September 1991 the EB110GT was presented by Romano Artioli in Paris in a big show to the public, exactly 110 years after Ettore Bugatti had
been presented for the first time, presumably not in so big a show! A short time later a better, lighter and more powerful monster the EB110 SS (either
SuperSport or Sport Stradale) was presented, capable of 352 km/h and 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. This is the version that was almost ready to race with.

As we know the Bugatti plans were set-up too ambitious, even when Mauro Forghieri came in 1993, of Ferrari Formula 1 fame, it couldn't stop the end to the entire venture in 1995. Estimations are that some 150 cars have been built.

am posting this cause the Viper that was in oman cars club event yesterday 8/6/2001 had one!!..yeaa it was there..and it was smooooookyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

We can all thank Robert A Lutz for the Viper along with Carroll Shelby, Tom Gale, and Fancois Castaing. The four men are considered to be the "Fourfathers" of the Viper. Basically what Bob Lutz was aiming for was to build a modern Cobra with today's technology all for under $100,000. The first prototype labeled VM01 was finished in December of 1989. The VM01 was powered by a Chrysler 360 V-8 engine. This prototype resembles the modern RT/10 but is missing the sports bar and sidepipes. The second prototype called VM02 resembles the RT/10 more but has different wheels. Built in 1990 it had the V-10 engine which was rated at 380 HP.

The engine has been used in vehicles other then the Viper. For example the Dodge Ram VTS had the V-10 engine which produced 300 HP and 450 ft-lb of torque. Also Carroll Shelby has his own signature Viper. It is signed by Shelby and his "CS" symbols on the car. However only 50 Shelby RT/10's were produced.

We can all thank John Hennessey for making the Viper even better. Hennessey has created the Venom Viper series including the Venom 500, 550, and 600. The Venom 550 had a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds and a 1/4 mile time of 11.7 seconds. A Venom 550 however adds about $30,000 on top of the $60,000 stock price.

In 1929 Enzo Ferrari founded Scuderia Ferrari, in viale Trento e Trieste in Modea, with the purpose of helping members compete in motor races.

Racing activities, in Alfa Romeo cars, continued until 1938, the year in which he became Racing Manager of Alfa Corse. After two years, Enzo Ferrari split with Alfa Romeo and founded Auto Avio Costruzioni Ferrari, in the old Scuderia Ferrari headquarters, to manufacture machine tools, particularly oleodynamic grinding machines.

In spite of a promise of non-competition (which at the moment of their divorce prevented Enzo Ferrari from bulding cars using his own name for four years), the company began to study and design a racing car, an 8- cylinder 1500 cc open car known as the 815, two of which were built to take part in the 1940 Mille Miglia. The outbreak of World War II put an end to racing.

In 1943 the workshops moved from Modena to Maranello, where construction of oleodynamic grinding machines continued until 1944, when the plant was bombed.

At the end of the war, the company changed its name to Ferrari and designed the 125 Sport, a 12-cylinder, 1500 cc car which Franco Cortese drove on the Piacenza circuit on May 11, 1947. The car had to retire, but it was ahead in the last lap, in what was a good debut. Two weeks later, in fact, Cortese and the 125 Sport won the Rome Grand Prix.

Since then, company cars, driven by the best drivers, have racked up over 5,000 successes on race tracks and roads all over the world, creating a legend. The most important achievements have been 9 Formula 1 Drivers' World titles, 14 Manufacturers' World titles, 8 Formula 1 Constructors' World Championships, 9 wins at the Le Mans 24 Hours race, 8 at the Mille Miglia, 7 at the Targa Florio, and, up to the end of 1997, 113 wins in Formula 1 Grands Prix.

In 1969, to meet growing market demand, Enzo Ferrari sold 50% of the share capital to the Fiat Group, and investment that increased to 90% in 1988. In spite of this Ferrari has always maintained a strong autonomy, thanks to its specialist activities.
