i thought that the investigation was to know if ur future spouse is good for u, like has the same thoughts, personality, etc

genetically, well it depends on if both spouse want to get married coz they love each other, or to get kids. coz if they love each other so much but can't get kids coz the kid might get some diseases, they could still live with each other happily, because they are with each other and thats what they want. the problem arises when they want kids but can't have any coz of heredity diseases
then the married might fall apart.

in some marriages when the love is over, the spouse decided to have a kid, that could bring a new meaning to their life, this in the same time could cause problems, if it didn't work out and might end in divorce. but if they are tied to not having kids coz of heredity diseases then they should solve their problems in the best way.

back to the question, in my opinion heredity diseases testes should be implemented before marriage, and after the result take the decision of the marriage, but keep in mind that God is there and he can change anything he desires whenever he desires.

i think no one will disagree with you regarding the tests before marriage.
but will everyone do it really?
especially if they love each other.
they might be ready for doing it hoping that they are free from any hereditary diseases but when they come to know that they have it they will not cancel the idea of getting married to each other from their mind.
