when i said the part near ur nose i mean pressing just at the end of the eyelids..
now lets do it again ..
close ur left eye and press the ends(edge)of ur right eyelids near ur nose ..
u will find a shadow coming just on the opposite side of the eyelids ..
and my Q? is why the shadow comes from the opposite side?

my dear friend some1, it works on both the right and left side of the eye!!!

but lets try to get to the answer right now... this is my wild guess, the black shadow is from the finger which the eye sees when we poke into it is due to the fact that the more you poke ur eye the bigger the shadow gets the more ur eye hurts you!

this shouldn't be done by kids, DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME

can the eye see backwords???

whats the answer KingF?

Thug4Life

first thanx to the thug for the arrows .. i think the yellow arrow is at the right site...
and friend kamazaky nice try well let me answer ur Q first actually the eye can see backward if u turn the window of the eye ( i mean the pupil or the balck part of the eye)..
the answer is:
our eye is like a camera made of differernt parts but the important one for us are the film and the convex( mu2addeb)lens.
the film in our eye is called the retina( mashemyyah)..
because of the convex lens everything that pass through it will be inverted on the film( see the figure below).. thus ur head will be down and ur left become right on the film ..
by knowing that .. the field u see by one eye : the right half of the field ,due to the convex lens, will be detected on the left half of the film(retina)and same for the left half of visual field will be on the right half of the film.. thus when u press the eye on one side u will disturb the retina(the film) on the same side thus u will not see the opposite side, due to the lens, and thus u will get a shadow .. try to press above the eye u will find the shodaw coming from below and same if you press below the eye...

Diabetes (sukkary) is a common disease in oman .. just for a while think how many diabetics u have in ur family and now think about ur friends family then think about oman as whole ..
I just wanna give brief inf. About diabetes and drugs used to treat it.

One thing to know is a hormone in our body called insulin which functions to reduce the level of glucose in the blood .. thus when u have high insulin level in ur blood u will get very low level of glucose and vice versa ..
And insulin when it does its function it has to act on a receptor ( it is like a worker who can not work without his equipment)..
Now,,, diabetes has two types each have different causes, features, treatment and u have to know which one ur friend or a relative have.

Type 1 : called also juvenile diabetes or insulin dependent diabetes mellitus(IDDM)
In this type the cells that produce insulin are destroyed therefore the blood level of insulin is low( this is why called insulin dependent) leading to high glucose level..
It mainly occurs below age of 35(children, teens, adult) .. these people have frequent symptoms like thirsty, hyperventilation, excessive urination, excessive eating and breath with acetone smell…
These people are treated by insulin injection

Type 2: called also non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus .. because there insulin level is normal or high (thus no need for insulin injections) but the receptors(the equipment) which insulin act on are abnormal … this means that insulin is present but it cannot act leading to high glucose..
Unlike type 1 It mainly appears after the age of 40.. and the symptoms are not frequent thus u rarely find these patients are hyperventilating …etc..
It is mainly treated by group of drugs called oral hypoglycemic agents(OHA) e.g metformin
These drugs are able to cross the placenta from mother to the child .. thus it is very important that a diabetic pregnant women should stop taking these drugs and instead use insulin injection which cannot cross the placenta ..
But remember exercise and good diet is the best treatment…
And prevention is the best of all..

Now I have a question how a pregnant diabetic mother affect her fetus????????

It is easy a diabetic mother has high level of glucose in her blood which can cross the placenta to the fetus .. the fetus has normal insulin which store the excess glucose( from mother) as fat in tissue leading to a very fat baby which may be difficult to deliver….

we muslim must be proud of our religion and the holy qura'an and should know how great is qura'an .. and now i will give some stories about how the holy qura'an made some great scientist to enter islaam:

ON THE SENSORY CHARACTERISTIC OF THE SKIN

Dr. Tagatat Tejasen: "Laa Ilaaha Illallah Muhammad Rasool Allah!"

This man is uttering the Islamic creed (Shahaadah) thus declaring that he is becoming a Muslim. This occurred during the Eighth Saudi Medical Conference which was convened in Riyadh. He is Professor Tejatat Tejasen, Chairman of the Department of Anatomy at Chiang Mai University in Thailand. He was previously the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the same university.
We presented to Professor Tejasen some Qur'aanic verses and Prophetic Ahadeeth which deal with his specialization in the field of anatomy. He commented that they also had in their Buddhist books very accurate descriptions of embryonic developmental stages. We told him that we were very anxious and interested to see those descriptions and learn about these books. A year later, Professor Tejasen came to King Abdul Aziz University as an outside examiner. We reminded him of the statement he made one year before, but he apologized and said that he in fact had made that statement without ascertaining the matter. However, when he checked the Buddhist books he found that they contained nothing of relevance to the subject.
Upon this, we presented to him a lecture written by Professor Keith Moore about the compatibility of modern embryology with what is contained in the Qur'aan and the Sunnah and we asked Professor Tejasen if he knew of Professor Keith Moore. He replied that he knew him of course, adding that Professor Moore was one of the most world-renowned scientists in that field.
When Professor Tejasen studied this article he also was greatly astonished. We asked him several questions in his field of specialization. One of the questions pertained to modern discoveries in dermatology about the sensory characteristics of the skin.Dr. Tejasen responded: "Yes if the burn is deep."
It was stated to Dr. Tejasen: You will be interested to know that in this book, the Holy Book - the Qur'aan, there was a reference 1400 years ago which pertains to the moment of punishment of the unbelievers by the fire of Hell and it states that when their skin is destroyed, Allah makes another skin for them so that they perceive the punishment by a fire, indicating knowledge about the nerve endings in the skin, and the verse is as follows:
Those who reject our signs, We shall soon cast into the fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the chastisement. Truly Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise. (Qur'aan 4:56).
We asked: So do you agree that this is a reference to the importance of the nerve endings in the skin in sensation, 1400 years ago? Dr. Tejasen responded: "Yes I agree."
"This knowledge about sensation had been known long before, because it says that if somebody does something wrong, then he will be punished by burning his skin and then Allah puts a new skin on him, covers him, to make him know that the test is painful again. That means they knew many years ago that the receptor of pain sensation must be on the skin, so they put a new skin on."
The skin .is the center of sensitivity to burns. Thus, if the skin is completely burnt by fire, it looses its sensitivity. It is for this reason that Allah will punish the unbelievers on the Day of Judgement by returning to them their skins time after time, as He, the Exalted and Glorified, said in the Qur'aan:
Those who reject our signs, We shall soon cast into the fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the chastisement. Truly Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise. (Qur'aan 4:56).
We asked him the following question: ‘Is it possible that these verses came to the Prophet Muhammad, (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam), from a human source?’ Professor Tejasen conceded that they could have never come from any human source. But he still asked about the source of that knowledge and from where could Muhammad have possibly received it?
We said, "From Allah, the Most Glorified and Most Exalted." Then he asked: "But who is Allah?"
We replied: He is the Creator of all that is in existence. If you find wisdom then it is because it comes only from the one Who is Most Wise. If you find knowledge in the making of this universe, it is because the universe is the creation of the One Who has all the knowledge. If you find perfection in the composition of these creations, then it is proof to you that it is the creation of the One Who Knows Best, and if you find mercy, then this bears witness to the fact that it is the creation of the One Who is Most Merciful. In the same way, if you perceive creation as belonging to one unified order and tied together firmly, then this is proof that it is the creation of the Only Creator, May He be Glorified and Exalted.

http://www.it-is-truth.org/images/closeskin.gif

Professor Tejasen agreed with what we said to him. He returned to his country where he delivered several lectures about his new knowledge and discoveries. We were informed that five of his students converted to Islam as a result of these lectures. Then at the Eighth Saudi Medical Conference held in Riyadh, Professor Tejasen attended a series of lectures on Medical signs in the Qur'aan and Sunnah.
Professor Tejasen spent four days with several scholars, Muslims and non-Muslims, talking about this phenomenon in the Qur'aan and the Sunnah. At the end of those sessions Professor Tejasen stood up and said:
"In the last three years I became interested in the Qur'aan, which Shaykh Abdul-Majeed Az-Zindani gave me. Last year, I got Professor Keith Moore’s latest script from the shaykh. He asked me to translate it into the Thai language and to give a few lectures to the Muslims in Thailand. I have fulfilled his request. You can see that in the video tape that I have given to the shaykh as a gift. From my studies and from what I have learned throughout this conference, I believe that everything that has been recorded in the Qur'aan 1400 years ago must be the truth, that can be proven by scientific means. Since the Prophet Muhammad could neither read nor write, Muhammad must be a messenger who relayed this truth which was revealed to him as an enlightenment by the One Who is an eligible Creator. This Creator must be Allah, or God. Therefore, I think this is the time to say ‘Laa ilaaha illallah’, that there is no god to worship except Allah, ‘Muhammad Rasool Allah’, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah..."
"I have not only learned from the scientific knowledge in the conference, but also the great chance of meeting many new scientists and making many new friends among the participants. The most precious thing that I have gained by coming to this conference is ‘Laa ilaaha illallah, Muhammad Rasool Allah’, and to have become a Muslim."
The truth verily comes from Allah who said in the Qur'aan: And those to whom knowledge has come see that the (revelation) sent down to thee from thy Lord - that is the truth, and that it guides to the path of the Exalted (in Might), worthy of all praise. (Qur'aan 34:6).

THE QUR’AAN ON THE CEREBRUM( almu’7)

Allah said in the Qur'aan about one of the evil unbelievers who forbade the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) from praying at the Ka'abah: Let him beware! If he does not stop, We will take him by the naasiyah (front of the head), a lying, sinful naasiyah! [Qur'aan 96 :15-16]
Why did the Qur'aan describe the front of the head as being lying and sinful? Why didn't the Qur'aan say that the person was lying and sinful? Is there a relationship between the front of the head and lying and sinfulness?
If we look into the skull at the front of the head, we will find the prefontal area of the cerebrum. What does physiology tell us about the function of this area? A book entitled, Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology, says about this area: "The motivation and the foresight to plan and initiate movements occur in the anterior portion of the frontal lobes, the prefontal area (see Figure). This is a region of the association cortex... The book also says: In relation to its involvement in motivation, the prefrontal area is also thought to be the functional center for aggression..."

http://www.it-is-truth.org/images/frontbrain.gif

So, this area of the cerebrum is responsible for planning, motivating, and initiating good and sinful behavior, and is responsible for telling lies and speaking the truth. Thus, it is proper to describe the front of the head as lying and sinful when someone lies or commits a sin, as the Qur'aan said: "...a lying, sinful naasiyyah (front of the head)!" Scientists have only discovered these functions of the prefrontal area in the last sixty years, according to Professor Keith Moore.

i think my colleague the thug knows who is prof.MOORE

it is very simple .. and u can solve it ..

1- stanz up.
2- look down to ur hand without raising it up u will find some clear blood vessels[called veins= wareed(single)].
3- now move ur arm up so ur hand is above ur head.. u will notice those blood vessels disappear..
do u know why???????????????????????

in some people it is difficult to see the vessels because they are fat ..but u can try on others...

friends this topic is very important .. because u can save a live just be knowing what to do...
the first aid procedure for heart attackt is called CPR ( cardiac pulmonary resussetation)..
CPR: BRIDGING the GAP between BREATH and DEATH

>FACT: Your brain can survive 4 to 6 minutes without oxygen.

Devised to bridge that critical life-support gap in emergency situations – CPR procedures can get the heart restarted or the victim breathing and stabilized until help arrives. And performing CPR is easy: The basics are as simple as A-B-C: A, airway, B, breathing and C, circulation.

A is airway. Open the airway using the head tilt, chin lift. Pushing down on the head and lifting up on the chin removes the tongue from the back of the throat.

The tongue is the most common airway obstruction in an unconscious person. If the person is going to breathe on his own, it should happen as soon as you clear the airway. If you do not hear, see or feel any breathing, you must give two breaths.
http://www.learn-health-medicine.com/first-aid/learn-cpr/airway2.jpg

B is breathing. Everyone gets two breaths initially. We assess the response by
looking to see if the chest rises and falls,
putting our face close to the victim’s so that we can hear and feel him breathing.
If you do not hear or feel any breathing, give the victim two breaths. Pinch the person’s nose and put your lips over the other person's lips and blow until you see the chest rise. If you have a protective device, use it.

Watch out of the corner of your eye to be sure you blow just enough to see the chest rise.

Once both breaths go in, it is time to move to C - circulation. Check the pulse at the carotid artery in the neck, which is easily found by locating the Adam's Apple and sliding your fingers just to the side.
Feel around in this area. If there is no thumping under your fingers in a three-second time span, begin chest compressions.(chest compressions: A procedure used in CPR to maintain blood circulation when there is no pulse. It involves using one's hands to compress the chest and simulate circulation.)

Start by finding the proper placement for your hands. Locate the base of the sternum, the spot where all the ribs come together in the center of the chest. Place two fingers on that point. Put the heel of the other hand beside those two fingers. Interlace your fingers, lock your elbows and compress the victim’s chest, using your body weight, to the necessary depth of 1 1/2 to 2 inches deep. Or remember this, two hands, two inches.

Count aloud as you compress 15 times and follow by giving the victim two breaths. That's Cycle Number 1.

Repeat for a total of four cycles – about one minute in elapsed time. Then check again for a pulse in the neck and watch for signs that the person is breathing.

http://www.learn-health-medicine.com/first-aid/learn-cpr/strenum-s.jpg

that is all friends .. i know it was too long and boring for u .
but u may need it when someone needs ur help when he is dying..
now there was a question from a relative she asked me how can some1 who has an attackt and he is alone .. well friend this is difficult coz the person is on a pain and he can't do anything the only thing he can do is using a pain killer(morphin.. only in hospital) or he can use oxygen gas if available.. and otherv things also can be done but in hospital like recanalization( don't worry about it)..also ther is a helpful drug but its use depend on what was the cause of the heart attackt if it is due to a thrombus( blood clot) that is blocking the blood from reaching the heart then ther is a drug which is used to remove this clot and it is used within 6 hours of the attackt.. these drugs are called antifibrolytics like streptokinase , urokinase and alteplase .. the last one is the safest and the most expensive .. and remember these drugs are not used for those who have a history of stomach ulcer...
actually friends the patient can prevent heart attack by just excersising and monitoring his diet+ using asprin if he had it before.... etc

but hey what is it?
well i think that many of u know about this..alternitive medicine is what i can call (traditional or different way of healing sick people )..meaning its not of the modern now practised medicine..
this branch of medicine is very intresting..cause many difficult diseases are cured (in some cases..totaly cured)..by alternitive ways of medicine that modern medicine failed in it...
alternitive medicine contains alot parts within it..such as:
Acupuncture

Chiropractors

Massage Therapy

aroma therapy

hypnotic therapy

herbal therapy
etc etc etc...and the list goes on

in the comming days i will talk about the most intresting ones (one by one) in a very short informitive way....(hope i wont boooooor ya!= maliling u bil3arabi)

just a small question i would like u to think of:
how about if we combin modrern medicine with alternitive traditional medicine?..would it be a Good idea?
and do u believe in such medications in the first place?
well...many other questions will arise ;) mean while i think i wrote alot!

do this exercise i am sure that u will like it ..

1- draw on a white paper two black spots on a same line but 9 cm far from each other .. .. the size of the spot is the size of 0 on ur keyboard .
2- close ur left eye and look at the spot on the leftside with your right eye keeping the paper at arm lenght's distance. note that u can see both black spots although u are focussing on the left one only.
3- move the paper slowly toward your right eyewhich focussing on the left spot. at some distance from the right eye the right black spot will not be seen any more.

4- continue to move the paper sloely toward your right eye, focussing the spot to the left. when the paper get closer the right spot wil become visible again..
what is the explaination for the disappearance of the rigt spot from your field of vision when the paper is at a certaindistance from your right eye which kept focussing the spot on the left side..?
i hope u understand the procedure......

the answer as u said it deals with garvity , because all veins in body at end drain into the heart in the chest, so when u r raising ur hand above ur chest ( heart) level, all blood returns to heart by garviy ( like the watre tank on the roof) and when u lower it down below chest level the blood need force to go up against the gravity thus they accumilate in viens and make them destend so we see the veins..
