no not SIM Card Memory, their totaly different, SIM Card memo can only hold numbers and text msg.
while the MMC/SD card (external Memory Cards) can hold anything... games, mp3s, video clips, documents...etc

No, most mobiles dont have external memory, only a few do, in the Nokia category, the 3650, the 6600, 3300, and the N-Gage are the one that I could think of now using it.

no not all mobile phones has a External Momory
the phones which could support Media Files (mp3's, .mp4, .mpeg, .avi...etc) have them

and not only mobile phones support External Memory, but also Pocket Pc's and Orginisers

Not only these phones, the 5100 I think can save MP3s and also the 7250 and 7250i can hold images, am I right? I think I got what external memory is. So the 6600 can hold all that? I mean images, MP3s, games, documents and video clips? I'm buying that GSM, that's for sure. Thanks for explaining guys..

Blood Rose, these phone you mentioned have INTERNAL memory, they can save stuff inside, but other mobile phones that have EXTERNAL memories, are mobiles that use memory cards, and work in the same way a Foppy Disk works with a computer, this means that you can save a file on a floppy disk then you can take it out and put it somewhere else, same thing with the memory sticks.

but like Blue_Chi said, those are called Internal memory, their like the Hard Drive of your computer, and External Memory, are like Floppy Disks and CD-ROMs
