:tiered:
Yes it is true that its preferd that women pray at home, but that does not mean women are not at all allowed to go in the losque and do their prayers.

Plus what if you were out during maghreeb prayers, wouldn;t you stop and get down to any mosque which ahs a woman's praying place ?!! or you will wait till you reach home!!

Sorry to say this but i really find what you said there Shocking!!

What do you think of Women going to pray at the mosque?
If you are a female Muslim, do you go to pray at the mosque?
If you do, how often?

I don't think that any of my sisters have ever been to a mosque. Women can go, but I think that it is more recomended to pray at home.

Tes it is recommanded islamically the women should pray at home and I ttoally agree with that for sure.

But than once in a year or once in a month do you really think its a bad thing?! Its not like god would concider a woman's prayers done in the Mosque Bad.

Plus just as i said previously - if i was out and suddanly the Ma'3reeb prayers was on, "keeping in mind that Ma'3reeb prayers don;t last for long" would you really prefer the woman not to pray till she reaches at home, "which means she would have really been late big time" or just stop at any closest mosque and do the ma'3reeb prayers?!!

I think I would choose the second choice, to be honest with you, if i am out and its time for ma'3reeb prayers and i know i can;t make it home, there is nothing in the world that would stop me from going to the mosque and do my prayers. And i am very proud to say that I have been to the Mosque many times, for differen't reasons!

No but there are special sections away from the men's much larger room.

They don't pray with a woman Imam btw, they hear through the mic the men's Imam.

What do you think of Women going to pray at the mosque?
I think it's okay.. although it's preferable for them to pray at home.

If you are a female Muslim, do you go to pray at the mosque?
I don't go to pray. But sometimes when I am out, and the prayer time is there, I pray in a mosque.

If you do, how often?
Depends on my situations.

Personaly, when I am at a mosque I feel sooooo safe .. its a very uplifting place!

I dont go there often though.. just as Neena said, when the prayer time comes and I know I wont be able to preform it at home.

Nabhan, yes there are sections of mosques for women.

The default for a women is to pray at home, bu there are exceptions during travel, or when she want to attend a lecture, etc.

I dont think it is right for us to judge each other...so what if some of the women havent prayed in a mosque?!

As long as she prays that is what matters..isnt it?

I for one have been to pray in mosques several times especially in Ramadhan and other days if i am out while it was time to pray..but that doesnt make me any better that anyone else.

Although it is an experience and one should try it. ;)

Where on earth did i judge you Seham?!! Excuse me but it looks like you don;t know how to read well. I just expressed my opinion and for sure got surprised, but never did I say you are a bad muslim or you don;t pray or anything like that!!!

So please watch what you say next time instead of just ASSUMING!!:duh:

4-ever " what you said is totally right .. as long one prays nothing else matters sure thing.

But i am not really talking about if one prays or not as in excat as that is everyones responsability, nor am i here to judge anyone "just like one assumed that i am Judging" no I am not judging anyone, rather because beaing a Muslims Lady and all " I thought" that at least even if one does not go to the mosque for prayers, at least have been there even once in their live.

I never really thought there would be women out there who have never visited the mosque like aren;t they curious and all, i donno .. but it for sure kinda surprised me.
