The front page has not been updated since September 15th that gives the impression for a first time visitor that the sabla has been abandoned. I think if no one can take the responsibility of updating it, then it should 'deleted'!!

It took the moderators ONE YEAR to get the front page up, don't you think your asking for too much now? :wink: :D

We are still working on the process of updating, I also think that it is redicilous having that page there outdated so badly, once we start updating it will be always updated on time.

If you want to do something do it properly

Up dating of the front page is under trail.

as blue chi said.. were still working on it . its not as easy as it seems.. but once we start..then it will be updated frequently inshallah.

the main task was to get it up there...as some1 said...its been over a year...

the page is properly setup...now..alhamdullah... the only thing left now is with updating...

to do that ..there is a couple of ways..but all of them so far arent quite avaliable.. though we are on the process of implementing one of our own until a suitable update pack is avaliable.

it is complicated some1. especially when all the access is left in the hands of someone really busy. :p

anyways we are looking now at different ways to figure out the easiest way to update the thing.

some1 ...if your talking about simple straight forward editing...or overlay upload of the newer version of the frontpage thats quite easy and should take not even more then 5 mins...

but what we are trying to implement..is a avaliable solution to do that with the avaliable access facilities provided.

inshallah... as mentioned before.....its under going its process. :)

May I make a suggestion?

Ues some type of content management system. There are literally 100's of free ones to choose from. Set up the front page as you would like and lock it down so it can't be changed. Give access to the ones you wish to do the updating.

They wont need to know any php or any codeing, the system will do it all for them.

Once you set it up, you can give access to admin section to update.
