Islam is the religion which was given to Adam, the first man and the first prophet of Allah, and it was the religion of all the prophets sent by Allah to mankind. The name of God's religion lslam was not decided upon by later generations of man. It was chosen by Allah Himself and clearly mentioned in His final revelation to man. In the final book of divine revelation, the Qur'aan, Allah states the following:


"This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion". (Soorah Al-Maa'idah 5:3)

"If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah (God) never will It be accepted of Him" (Soorah Aal'imraan 3:85)

"Abraham was not a Jew nor Christian; but an upright Muslim." (Soorah Aal'imraan 3:67)

Nowhere in the Bible will you find Allah saying to Prophet Moses' people or their descendants that their religion is Judaism, nor to the followers of Christ that their religion is Christianity. In fact, Christ was not even his name, nor was it Jesus! The name "Christ" comes from the Greek word Christos which means the annointed. That is, Christ is a Greek translation of the Hebrew title "Messiah". The name "Jesus" on the other hand, is a latinized version of the Hebrew name Esau.

For simplicity's sake, I will however continue to refer to Prophet Esau (PBUH) as Jesus. As for his religion, it was what he called his followers to. Like the prophets before him, he called the people to surrender their will to the will of Allah; (which is Islam) and he warned them to stay away from the false gods of human imagination.

According to the New Testament, he taught his followers to pray as follows: "Yours will be done on earth as it is in Heaven".

And who said muslims are fighting others, Islam is a religion of peace. But it's the duty of every muslim to spread Islam to all people.

Fatak, this thread should be in the Christian forum, not here. I think we've discussed this so many times, and in each tme no Muslim can give full account on why the Jews do not even accept Islam as the true religion. Nor can any Muslim, in fact, even answer why Islam came 500 or so years after Christianity if it's supposed to have been known even before it. So Islam means surrender--it means squat. I can make a religion based on my language with the equivalent of surrender in English. Does that make what I put up the true religion then? This discussion is too redundant actually--it proves nothing other than a great ignorance in history on the part of many Muslims, and a refusal to believe other than what their teachers told them. As I keep saying, tell this to any Jew and he'll laugh it off, if not give you point by point why Islam can't be the religion talked about in the Torah. For that matter, any serious historian will quickly shoot this notion down, and the by then confused Muslim will simply hide again behind the Qur'an and his teachers to comfort him of his by then bruised and battered ego.

But sorry to say, I know that Islam was sent to us by prophet Mohammed (PBUH) long after Prophet Adams departure. How can Adam be in Islam ? Please let me know if i am wrong.:confused:

YES!! not all muslims follow Islam!! the ideal situation that they should .. but unfourtountly many dont ..

There isnt one way to look at Islam. It differes according to the person's preception. Islam is one, but many people who dont beleive in Islam like to pick and choose every negative verse and make it the whole core of Islam without even refering to the reason it was revealed and the hsitory of it. Moreover, when you try to explain, its as u said nothing and they sadly ignore it :(

That fact you are missing is that all religions calls for the same message to worship one God. Even Profet Ibraham PBUH a muslim.

All religions? Teabag, go and read all about religion before even making such nonsensical posts. You surely do not even account for animistic religions, nor Hinduism, nor the ancient Greek and Roman religions, or even the Egyptian one for that matter. And Abraham a Muslim?
