We have all noticed that SOME of the Sabla moderators are not doing their job as suppose to be! Some of them show once in a while to comment and leave!

We all know that everyone is busy with work/studies and some have them both! But my question is, if you can’t do it, then why are you hanging on to it? Let go! I’m sure that some other members could fit into those Position better.

I’m not pinpointing here, but it is crystal clear who is doing his/her job and who isn’t!

Some of them aren’t around nowadays of studies we understand, but for those who have been away for Months!!!

Or do come in every now and then (once in a blue moon! Say something then disappear again!)

Bimzoori, fahad and njah should just quit. thanks for the service, or the lack of it. and kamakazy too.

the sports sabla is probably the least active only because the mods don't contribute except for few appearance from evilio. i swear i could post porn pics in there and it would go unnoticed.

I have to agree on this where is the moderation duties.

Any suggestions then as to who can replace those you mentioned?

Mo, the Mods you've mentioned I adore...... but I have to be fair and it's quite obvious they are too busy and don't have the time to moderate sabla.

To be honest, i really don't know! but to me, i think Big Mo should take over Sports sabla, I'm sure he'd do just fine!

The sabla is there for memebrs to contribute and share their ideas about whatever topic they want to discuss.

About posting porn pics, i guess u r referring to those pics you posted regarding english league teams. If thats the case you'll find that i did comment in there and also i didn't find the content offensive and is kinda a sport humor.
Further more no complains were received regarding it.

Moderators are there to help if things go out of hand, other than that it's a forum and i believe everyone is mature enough to read and post.

This thread is not to attack any of the mod's instead find a solution!

There is that button which says 'report this to the Mod' or words to that effect. Has there been complaint about lack of input by the mods ? I guess no. So ? may SoMe1 is not happy about the quality of the input on those lagging threads. If so that is fair, my be we need a co-Mod when one is busy their other one is around to keep the place alive.

May I ask which of the threads are more vibrant ? I guess none. BigMo's suggestion is a good one, we should perhaps provoke curiocity by threatening to post porn stuff this would make every friend and foe visit the place react. I think it's good idea don't you ?

well.. i guess ya'll do have a point and this matter is going under discussion now within the team.

I think we should take Neena as a good example of this.

we don't need guidence, we need contribution to make the place alive. look at the music sabla for example. if nabs wasn't there the place will go downhill. he's there and contribute to almost every post cause he likes it. he does it cause he likes. we need sports mods to do the same. take some interest in what they're supoosed to be moderating. can you remember the last time fahad ever posted there. i can tell you for sure not during the month of sep.

Mimosa was a mod, and he was doing pretty well. He however got into this misunderstanding with Thug about the Rules and stuff and quit, he was a mod for a month or so.

I will speak on behalf of Bimmi ..
she asked many times to leave the Mod. job but as the Mod team knew that the problem of her not accessing sabla was temp. and Inshallah very soon it would be solved we asked her to stay until everything is sorted out.

THe same case is with Najah

well it is true that these mods have not been around much or shall i say at all.

As said before we are discussing this and let us hope we will come to a decision soon.

I think it will be good idea to make election every year, where all sabla population involved.

The objectives will be to:

1. Evaluate current mods performance for the last year.

2. Maintain mod whom are doing good job and improving sabla.

3. And recruit new mods to replace low profile mods (due to some reasons, e.g study, etc).

I’m so glad to see that members are concerned about their own sabla. And at least it sounds we have some democracy in here which makes feel so good.

Well first of all am sorry for being late in my reply, but I had to take my time in thinking what to write. Anyway, the only thing I want to say I apologies first to the moderation team that had their trust in my word. I had my words to them to give sabla what I can. (Unfortunately) I didn’t. Second of all, I would like to apologies from members who are expecting all good from moderation team.

However, my case is: I had my own pc last year then when I went back home for my summer vacation, the offer of being a moderator popped out and I agreed thinking I will still be having my personal Computer. Anyhow, for many personal reasons I had to give it up to my elder brother who needed it. I came back to the states hoping to get a new one as soon as possible (due to my homework needs), but many other issues came across my will. I had my plans in getting one by the end of last month or this month October but last month I had some financial problems. Therefore, I don’t want to give a promise but inshalla I will try my best to fix my own personal problem. Anyhow, I tried my best logging in checking my sabla and the Admin sabla to make sure everything is functioning right and that’s it. In the mean time I use the computer labs on campus. I live quite far away so that takes me sometime.
(I know I talked too much, but I had to explain my reasons for being lazy! (Or not holding my responsibilities.) I’m very very sorry about that and I’m resting my case to the team.

I completly agree with you Somy and it is obvious that some mods can give all the time the sabla requires for reason we understand. The admin. and active mods on the other side should not keep holding on for months and say that such situation is okay...

I think what Ice tea suggested is so reasonable.

There are afew members who do deserve to be Mods
Like Azure in the Movie sabla and Big Mo in Sports and Ice tea in Religion Maybe?!

i cannot disagree with you because you all are right; i am busy and have problem in visiting sabla frequently.. i have requested the moderators for my demoderation before i start my busy work but they disgreed...

we moderator will discuss the situation of busy moderatrs and we decide who stay and who should leave...

Why you guys want to be moderators? Is it to control some threads and some member’s behavior? Don’t we have the Admin and his assistant and some other mods who are still active and bored.

So far the Management team has done ok considering. Despite all the difficulties . Give it another shot and I agree we should vote just like Majlis al Shura ,some how people connected seems to get the official seat .

Doesn’t bother me at all as long as I post and have fun.

I think the only sablas that should be moderated are relgion and politics sablas.
