So many countries of the world made this so called Open Door Policy. This means that we open up our doors to the world business in a condition that they build up whatever they want in our country but they should employ our people, train them and make them fit for it.

This is what happened in India, Indonesia and Malaysia, China, Taiwan, but they did it early 1990s and 1980s we are not doing it. Like for example Nike shoes are made in Indonesia and these countries which I mentioned above, Suzuki cars and many other things.

Oh come on don't tell me we don't have the raw meterials to do all this, we have everything if we allow the people to come and make their research properly. The thing is once a company is coming down to Oman many other bloody monopolists jump over him and say we will sponser or something like that and/but we need this much of profit which will be so high and no one would like to pay that much. These people once they get rejected to be sponsers then the very next thing is they put stones and thrones in those people's way such as what Khimji Ramdas did to Pizza Hut, they want to be their only franchise in Oman, then if it is like this how Omanis are going to survive doing business activites. Well it is not fare at all. This is not only happening in Oman but in most of the Gulf States.

Are these people only ones who are living out there? What about normal Omanis who has some money and would like to do something for his future? All we allow is to start those small business like supermarkets and kiosks but those D grade business.

There are so many things to write but before I write them I think most of the people are interested here in readin condensed posts am I right young Ladies and Gentelmen? heheheh:D Not at all making fun of you, just a joking, kidding to make it more interesting to you all and make you post your replies to help MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

How can we stop this Monopoly?

How can we make others to come up with what they want?

How can we make these people in the government understand that Oman is in a very big need of foreign business to come down to Oman? ( I think they know it, but they don't want it)

How is it possible to make these dumbheads know we need this to be done before the oil reservs are over?

Post your answer and everyone will get a candyyyyy from Uncle Amir... hehehe kidding guys....Hopefully everyone will come up with something interesting... I want to be aware and I want to make some changes, its time now we have to do something and I feel like I can do something..... People please don't put me down with all this confidence in me, and I don't want anyone here say I'm over confident, Please help me out with all of your openions....

:color: If we all stick together we can do something just as the saying "stick together to pull the mountain and we'll be able to bring it down"

Please don't just answer the questions, but do give me some suggetions, guys spend sometime thinking and do give me some good ideas.... come on you can do it for our sake please do it!!!

Man your posts are too long.

n e way it is not suitable for our people. It will only bring factories and industries that mostly employs people in primary catogory...do u think omanies want to work in assembly line....they'd rather starve to death then do these jobs.....they will only bring more and more foriegners.

this idea is good for seriously crappy countries like sierre lione and cambodia

Sure you are right, we have spoiled so many chances based in these the so called Monopolies, Many Big Companies wanted to Invest in Oman and make their bases here in Oman due to our Link and location to many channels around the world, But Big Sharks they wanted Big Chunks and where we lost it what a pitty and shame to the so called selfish Individualism...

Maybe we should go with Sectary of State John hay and his proposal of establishment of equal trading rights to all nations in all parts of the country and for recognition of territorial integrity (meaning that the country should not be carved up). Bites and pieces to make a whole?!
