Tomorrow is the last day for the 6 African countries to submit thier bid books. Morocco, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, South Africa and Nigeria.
South Africa is very much in favor and Morocco considered being a strong challenger as they are bidding for the fourth time.

Inspection visits of the candidate countries by a Fifa delegation led by the Belgian Football Federation president will start next month and the decision on which country to host the cup will made by Fifa's executive committee in Paris next May.

i wish Egypt win the bid. the finals would be held near the pyramids.

I hope no African country gets to host the World Cup they are not ready and will never be ready, they don't the facilities needed and not enough audience the best places for world cup from best to least are Europe, South America, Korea and Japan they should dtick to these places only .... i said only :angre:

I think South africa would be the host.
Seems like they are more prepared than the other 5 countries.

all these countries are not capable of hosting the world cup for several reasons:
1- fields look crappy and not ready
2- only popular games will be seen by big audience
3- tv reception is at it's worst
4- they won't be able to control violence (security issue)
5- accomodation problems

I don’t agree with u azure, if they are not capable the FIFA would not accept their offers in the first place. Plus it’s been known that in 2010 the cup will be host in Africa.

They may refuse Libya and Tunisia bid as they are offering co-host.

Do u recall when the U.S host the cup in 1994, no one predicated the huge # of audience who attended the games. And valiance is expected everywhere.

I think African countries must be given the chance to prove their potentials and abilities in organizing international events. That’s their right.

Well....for the Nigerians, it was either the World cup or the usual French Rivera vacations and private villas for all the top government people and their extended families.......

Since when do rich Nigerians give a hoot about what the masses want or what the country needs?
