Overview
Isabel (Kate Hudson), an American film-school dropout, heads to Paris to help her eight-months-pregnant stepsister, Roxy (Naomi Watts), whose adulterous French husband (Melvil Poupaud) has left her. Roxy may face divorce and single motherhood, but the two siblings hit the social scene, and eventually Isabel finds herself in the arms of a 70-year-old man … a French diplomat who also happens to be related to Roxy's cheating hubby.

I watched this movie yesterday and I loved it! Le Divorce is based on a Diane Johnson bestseller.

Totally different from the last movie I saw by Kate Hudson (How To Loose a Guy In 10 Days), this movie is more complex, more dramatic, and just like the novel it has lots of different things going on together at the same time. There is not a direct reason of why I liked the movie, but overall, the movie was so interesting, and the way it was directed is different from other movies, there are lots of abigousity everywhere, irony, and visual images, the movie was just cool.

I think that it is a must see for Drama fans!

The movie was released in August, and we are now at the end of September, so I don't think that it will be long until the movie is released in Oman.

oman and london release movies at the cinema nearly the same time nowadays so I think we should give oman the credit!

This is one of the movies i'd like to watch

They look so BLONDE though!! :D

it may not be released in Oman cause Oman cinemas are selective depending on how well the movie do in the US box office not on quality so sometimes good movie don't reach Oman :bang:

how do u know?
my dad told me that they cant get the movies fast bcoz their really expensive to buy...so they wait untill dubai gets them, and then they show them here
but sometimes for really good movies (XXX, Matrix Reloaded, etc) they get thm straight away from the states

Of course, this is very true, Omani Cinema's cannot just buy every single movie that comes out, a movie has to be known, anyway, I think that this movie will make it to Oman though.

if not in cinemas then on dvd

or DivX though :D

As for Le Divorce, it was a disappointing movie. It had the potential to be a really great romantic comedy, but it's just mediocre. You might might want to watch it on DVD when it comes out but don't expect too much.
