Hmm.. What I hate about Non-Muslims..

I'd say most of the answers would be the "Typical" "Cause they dont worship Allah".. But to me... Its not that.. Im past that point... that now it is none of my business whether they do or not!

10 things i don't like about non-muslims:

(these are general cause i've met many non-muslims whom these point to apply to)

1. they think all muslims are terrorits
2. they think Islam oppress women
3. Stereo type all muslims (i guess all people are guilty of this including muslims, none the less it's annoying)
4. they get all the fun in this world. drinking, sex, parties etc. and it's all not haram.
5. family ties not as strong as muslim familes.

5 are good enough for now.

2. When 1 non muslim is killed we r slayers, but when 100 Muslim children are killed then its ok

3.They think Islam is unfair to women but I think Islam has given the women all her rights and placed her high above. Do not geniralize all Muslim women just because u c the one's in Saudi for instance who cover their faces,not allowed to drive and hardly work. In other Arab-Muslim countries women r free to dress up the way they please,work,socialize,drive, go out , party .. ect It all depends on the women and her believes and what she is like ok so I hate it when they visualize muslim women with the black dress,veil,Hijab, and house wives with no lives expet pleasing thier husbands.


4.Most r not clean. Im not talking about showers here but generally. In the toilets they dont have the washing up water. They only keep tissues which is sick.
We have washing up water pipes in toilets everywhere. Malls,restaurants, Hotels .. unlike England, Australia,France..ect (Ive been to these places and thats how I know)

5.Hardly anything is Haram.

yah homeless and you go to 90% of public toilet in here and you'll find water all over the floor which is really disgusting. i never use public toilets in Oman.

I don't know about Non-Muslims but some of them don't wash when they finish useing the toilet, i think that's repulsive!

Well not all non-muslims have the same preception towards muslims. I met non-muslims who were very respectable of our religion and never tried to muslims while Knew others who would look for any chance to show that Islam is at fault even though hey dont know the full truth about the matter.

So I would say, I hate in some non-muslims: Ignorace about Islam, and thier arrogant to even to try understanding it and instead make jokes and mock what other people beleive in.

So, you're culture is placed on my culture? Yes, I drink beer, no, I don't get drunk. I have sex with my wife only, and have many parties, and go to them. How are get togethers, "haram?"

My family has been in the same area for over 1000 years. My grandfather and grandmother live in my home. My mother lives with my brother, my children are still at home, and we all live within 2 miles of each other. That is a horrendous generalization.

And I've been throughout the ME, and would you care to compare our showers, compared to your non-showers on a MAJORITY of your people? I've more then once practically been knocked out cold by the stench of ****e around me. I find it funny how you judge how one wipes their arse as a function of society.

As I said earlier, you speak of being generalized, while generalizing in return, that is rather sad. Not all muslims are the same in thought, tradition, raising, and neither are westerners. As soon as both sides stop generalizing, then there can be understanding.

What is difficult to understand that you have as many misconceptions as the west does? Not you personally, generally, as ME.

Culture is different, because conditions are different. You expect American Culture to be the same as yours. That is ridiculous. They are their own identity. No more ME then they are UK.

I hardly expect English culture to be similar to Scottish culture. We're different people, yet walk freely and openly amongst each other.

You want things to be more YOUR way, while others want you to be THEIR way. That hardly works does it?

Self Centered? The USA provides more food, emergency care, emergency management to disaster areas around the world, then any nation on this planet.

Don't like other nations? They are all from other nations. Only Native Americans are not from here, there, elsewhere.

Don't respect other religions? The only banned religion, is Satanism. You can build a mosque anywhere in the United States, it makes not a whit of difference, but you speak of no respect of other religions? Allow me a church in Mecca!

So, no, I don't know what you mean. I'm not an American, yet, they were the first to come to Kuwaits aid. Where was YOUR nation? They were the first to go to KSA's aide. Where was YOUR nation? They are the ones that ended the brutal regime of Saddam. Where was YOUR nation?

When Somalia was starving. What nation sent troops there to stop the murdering? USA. What nations sent the food? USA.

If you look on the largest contributer to all charitable organizations, it is Americans. Bar none. Yet you hate them. The largest charitable organizations are headquartered there, as well. Why? Because the USA contributes more to charity then any other nation on this planet.

Look carefully at your governments, and ask yourself. Who provides aid to YOUR country? Likely, it's the USA.

This topic itself '10 thing you -hate- about' is very very sad. Goes to show the shear ignorance of everyone. You call yourself muslims or christians but you sure are good at practicing your hate on others. At the end of the day, you are all hating other people, when really you should be directing your hate at the institutions of power that create bad images of yourselves. Such as the Bush administration, christian right wing lobbys. But you can't say all non-muslims i hate because they do this or that, its just so hopelessly not a solution to anything. Also at the same time i understand that you being Omani's aren't allowed to really talk about your own internal problems so its much easier to hush up and talk about whats going on outside.

I feel sick

1- Most of them believe what their media tells them without questioning
2- They hate t Muslims as they think that ALQaeda net is representing the Muslim nation.
3- Some are calling to unlimited equality between men and women. They think that women can fight in wars, work in hard tough works like building, use the same bathrooms, and maybe even have many husbands as men do have more than one wife in some religons.
4- Weak relationships between the families; for example, a weak relationship between a mother/father and her/his sons/daughters or a brother and his sister. This is a common problem in most none Muslim countries according to what I have heard from my American and British teachers. "Mind you that there might be some few exceptions"
5- Their support to Israel of course not all.

It took me a good hour and 20 minutes to read through all the posts…………………..very interesting but sad.

I agree with what Scottish said, you can’t hate others because of their cultures and customs. And the world is changing now; people are more open and understanding.

We sure do get the odd ones here and there. But over all they respect our religion and cultures. They might not agree to it, but there is nothing they can do but RESPECT.

Just the way you people post these dislike and hate remarkes on sabla, they do the same………..you are all on the same boat unfortunately.
I as a practicing Muslims, can relate to some of your anger, but you can’t point the finger at every American, or every Jewish, etc………..

And Scottish about the USA being the main helper and provider, they do nothing out of sympathy and nothing for free. They master their way around and they get their needs out of it. Don’t forget that it’s the largest and the richest country of our time. SO I SEE NO COMPARISON THERE. Music Man, you are one of the few I would then called enlightened. Unfortunately here at Sabla, many if not most have a long way to go. Both you and Beautiful have a lot to teach to fellow Muslims.

None is perfect in the world nor all have the same personality, knowledge and other qualities but all of us from the same Adam and Eve whether a Christian, Muslim or Jews. How do you figure the red cross "charges". I think you're thinking through hate, not facts. I've seen enough air drops of food, through places that have NO ability to pay for anything, and have yet to do so. I've seen american troops put their lives on the line to get food out there, there were no charging.

The government and private business are separated. And if you want to talk about private business, most governments are invested in them as well. Including your "benevolent" nations.

Please, tell me what natural resource Haiti has, or Somalia, Uganda, Zaire, Congo, Guatemala, Egypt, Bangladesh....List goes on. All of which, receive food aid for NOTHING in return.

If anything, if purchased at a government level, it is very cheap. Please do some research and prove your "facts".
